Kushikatsu Daruma - Tsutenkaku — Restaurant in Osaka

A friend recommended this place but I wouldn’t do the same for you.

The staff is very nice, which is one of the only upsides to this restaurant.

The food was below average, as the meat skewers had little to no taste and were mainly composed of batter. The little meat that was present was extremely fatty and of low quality.

Everything felt rushed, as I was served my starter course without any chopsticks (I had to serve myself at some other table) and was encouraged to leave as soon as I finished. This kind of fast paced dining is understandable when the food is cheap and good, but here none of that was present (3’500¥ for a drink, lettuce, a starter and 3 skewers).

You really felt like a cog in a machine made to suck tourists cash.

If you come to the area, please, please don’t eat or shop in the middle of shisenkai, but try to do it more on the peripheral roads around. The quality will rise significantly and it will be...

Came just after 2PM with my brother and wasn't this restaurant such an experience. You have to order via a QR code menu, fortunately that is in English and man doesn't this restaurant have such endless choice of skewers.

We ordered the Shin Sekai set (12 pieces plus a Doteyaki) and 2 serves of the meat skewer set (3 different meat Kushikatsus) one for my brother and I and oh boy, those meat skewers were an absolute die for, especially the Kobe beef Kushikatsu!

I would also love to give a special shoutout to the boss or manager who was extremely friendly in helping us out with our order and cooking our Kushikatsus right in front of us.

Even though the food might be pretty oily, I do recommend this restaurant and will be back again next time I visit Osaka. Sending some love from...

大阪へ行った際に 夜はやっぱり串カツだ！！

【串カツだるま】だ！！！ となり 訪問しましたσ̴̶̷̤ . σ̴̶̷̤ ♡

大阪に住んでおきながら 初のだるまᐠ( ᐢ ᵕ ᐢ )ᐟ ⁡ ♡

串カツだるまは 昭和4年に大阪のランドマークとして有名な通天閣がある通称「新世界」と呼ばれている繁華街で 小さな個人商店として創業しました(๑°༥°๑)

当時の新世界には肉体労働者が多く 串に刺した一口大の食材は短時間で食べやすいように 厚めにつけられた衣はお腹に溜まるようにと初代女将さんが考えて提供したのが 大阪グルメ「串かつ」の始まりなんだって⸜( •ᴗ• )⸝

そんな女将さんの人情味が込められた串かつを 4代にわたって90年以上守り続けてきた串かつだるま꣘ ꣘ ⑉ ɞ̴̶̷ ·̮ ɞ̴̶̷ ⑉ 今では 地元の常連客はもちろん 観光ガイドブックを見て訪れる多くの観光客や 著名人からも愛される名店になりました- ̗̀ ♡ ̖́-

予約はしておらず、 18時ごろに訪問しましたが 店内は満席！！ ⁡ 観光客が多いのか 地元の常連さんが多いのかはわかりませんが かなり賑わっていました★ ⁡ ⁡♡

注文は QRコードを読み取って行う方式で 串カツの写真が入っていて 選びやすかったです◎ ⁡ セットもありましたが 今回は好きなものを注文！！！ ⁡ ♡

お肉や野菜 魚介類とバラエティ豊かな串かつの中でも ぜひ食べて欲しいのがこの「元祖串かつ」ฅ^. ̫ .^ฅ♡

牛肉のジューシーさとサクッと軽いきめ細かな衣 そしてクセの無いオリジナル油と門外不出の濃いソースの甘みが絶妙に絡み合い 何本も食べたくなる一品❀‎(՞ ܸ. .ܸ՞)
