We stopped here as there was a promotion for ¥1,000 per person for drink all you can alcohol, cocktails and soft drinks. We were tired and thirsty and the waiter at the front was very friendly and when we asked if it was really ¥1,000, he said yes and that after tax it would be ¥1,100.
So we went in and ordered our first drinks. Before our drinks could arrive, 2 tiny portions of seaweed arrived and a laminated notice was placed in front of us indicating that these cost ¥330 per tiny portion. We said we didn’t want it. The waitress was like no you have to have it. We were a bit stunned and as we were tired we just left it there.
Then about 30 minutes into having our drinks, the waitress comes back and says we have to order at least one thing from the menu. This time I firmly said no.
We finished our hour and went to pay. I told the cashier politely what I thought of them scamming customers. And that it was not a nice thing to do. He tried to point to the signs saying we have to pay for the appetisers. I was like that’s fine but you have to tell us before we come in, especially since I already asked if it was only ¥1,000 beforehand.
He then said he would waive the charges. Which he did. But overall it left a very bad impression. Definitely be careful if you decide to eat or drink here. Also please note, none of the staff were Japanese. They were...
Read moreIt was a bad decision altogether coming here, not because the food was bad (It wasn't bad) but because kushikatsu joints are chillout spots where you hang out with people over drinks and not dinner.
We meant to go back to a sushi place nearby for a filling dinner but one of the people in our group was not up for Sushi that night so we went on to try looking for a place serving actual dinners but this Kushikatsu joint was a real temptres. You could not resist not coming in to such an Aesthetic place with delicious looking displays on its porch. We were informed that we needed to pay 330 for an appetizer plus a drink. So that's more than 800 yen before you could even order a main dish. Hungry and weary, we decided to agree on the terms and be seated.
So we ordered a bunch of Kushikatsus, dumplings and the curry udon. Honestly, they were all Delicious. But the prices were really steep for a stick of fried protein. Especially the appetizer, it was a ridiculous ripoff scam. It was a small bowl of fried rice crispies wrapped in nori.
We spent more than 10,000 JPY in this place but left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. We ended up buying dinner in a konbini nearby. The reason for the three stars was because even though the food taste great, i don't think they should...
Read moreSTRAIGHT TRASH! All food is fried and immediately hurt our stomachs after consuming. Party of 4 and only 1 person didn’t get an upset stomach because they had sushi instead of the yakitori. Total waste of money. We came here because all other local spots were closed or completely full and we were starving and needed to eat. Would rather get convenience store food or just go to sleep hungry instead of this garbage. There’s a 330 yen service charge per person (what is this Europe?) and you have to order a drink which is 418-475 yen for soft drinks. That alone for 4 people you’re at 3220 yen for nothing… all in all cost was 9k yen. Huge waste of money. Anyone giving this a 5 star is full of it, is sponsored, or truly has the worst taste in food or is a moron from the backwoods that’s never experienced good food...
