Udon-O — Local services in Osaka

I recently tried the udon at this restaurant and found it to be very budget-friendly, but unfortunately, it lacked flavor and was uninspiring. While it wasn't terrible, it wasn't good enough to make me want to come back.

The fried food was also disappointing. It was hard and seemed to have been left out for a long time. It was clear that the food was not fresh.

To make matters worse, the staff was not very attentive. One of the servers accidentally dunked our udon into the alcohol sanitiser nozzle and still served it to us without acknowledging the mistake. This was a very unpleasant experience.

Staff member at the counter was rude to us and the tempura is cold and stale. Don't recommend if you want to experience proper Japanese udon - there are better restaurants out there with more hospitable staff. It was the worst meal I had in Japan so far, and the nisshin instant ramen is much better.

From other reviews it looks like they also discriminate against tourists so probably you should stay away if you can't speak or don't look...

Small place in Namba walk offering udons. Hot or cold, meaty or vegetarian ones. Good option for quick lunch, if little some extra fried seafood is good choice. Located in huge hallway for metro with other shops...
