I visited Kushiya for a post marathon meal and got completely stuffed. The total was $38 per person for all you can eat/drink for 90 minutes. All you can east was around $24 alone. I showed up around 3:30 and was hoping to catch lunch but they stop taking new tables around 3 and you'll have to wait for dinner after that. The employees we interacted with all spoke decent English so we didn't have any issues.

The concept is pretty simple, you go to the buffet and grab whatever skewers you want then bring them back to the table. Some are ready as is to throw in the fryer like the takoyako, otherwise you dip them in the tray of milk/flour mix then into the panko and plop them into the fryer. Veggies are good in a minute, meat typically takes 2-3. If you run out of the breadcrumbs of milk mixture you take your trays over to the side and refill them.There are little wooden cups on the table to throw the used stick into.

Selections was decent with a good amount of meat/veggie options. My favorites were the chicken breast and shrimp as well as the onion. There were at least 8 sauces to choose from as well as a couple seasonings and sides. With a party of 4 the table did get a little cramped. They also had a salad bar, 2 kinds of rice, soup, and curry.

There were a handful of desert options including a chocolate fountain. They had what looked like mini donuts which were a bit of a let down, they were a bit dry and heavy. The cream puffs were delicious though once dipped in the chocolate fountain. There was also a couple kinds of fruits and puddings. There is a soft serve machine though it's more like ice milk than ice cream.

After 90 minutes I'm fairly certain I ate all the calories I had lost in the past 4 hours and then some. It was definitely a cool and fun experience and worth checking out at least once. I'm not sure if I would go back for dinner but I might check out lunch when I hear it's a little...

I've been to a number of kushiya branches and this was the most unfortunate. We came a little early, 5 mins before opening time, from the door we could see that the staffs were still prepapring(usually there would be a 準備中(still preparing) sign at the door but this one didn't so i went to the reception desk to ask there was nobody there and the staffs that were passing by in front of me just ignored me as if they didn't see anyone there. Opening time, and the receptionist started to entertain customers, i went to the reception and i was suprised when i was told that the drinks are not included in the course that i had reserved over hotpepper. I explained(calmly) the details of the course menu that i had reserved yet she answered me with a tone and her explanation still didn't make full sense. Nonetheless we purchased the drinks and proceeded eating there. The system was like other kushiya places, sadly, when i went to get food, there were dirty plates among the clean ones(i had to return some to the staffs) and the tongs for the cakes(each to a specific type) were missing and mixed with the ones on another trays. The ice cream area was most unfortunately because some of the cones were already damaged yet still on the serving tray. There's usually an explanation of how to eat there and etc if it's your first time visiting, i wonder if they did it here. I love kushiya because it's a fun and unique dining experience and kushikatsu is so good but this branch didn't leave...

Chocolate fountain fools you! No service! NO REAL MEAT sticks…Cheapo! Cheapo restaurant ¥3,000 dinner rip off! Everything cut 2 inches, even desserts. Cheapo fry Oil is DARK & old! YUCK! Luckily had napkins to blot. Seated at cold oil table. Then says 60 minutes!…WTH? Lots of veggies. No Entrees, empty Curry pot & cold soup. I noticed that Cheapo keeps controlling the low level of curry and soup. Cheapo Rice & noodles overcooked, my kids do better. Desserts boring, Matcha, jelly, Costco cream puff bag. Soda you have to pay Cheapo. Old Machine hasn’t been cleaned. Everything got worse, even the air smells like old oil, nausea! Run for the hills LOL they know how to fool you!!!!!!!CHEAPOs
