BEAMS JAPAN SHIBUYA — Local services in Tokyo

Have been a big friend of BEAMS for years but this is the worst shopping experience ever had at Japan. I shopped around 5pm on the 5/23/2024. No one helped me, I asked at the checkout desk and well, I can totally tell that they are small talking about me, who don’t speak Japanese but I do speak good English and I lived in USA for decades. You can basically tell that they are making fun of you and the laugh. It was a young girl and a guy. Definitely discrimination towards foreigners. If you are visiting and don’t speak good Japanese, AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Go to the Shinjuku store. Much better service and they have more stuffs.

BTW, I visited this store 3 months ago. It was good. I guess the friendly staffs are no longer around anymore, and they just hire kids. Won’t shop...

A week ago I’ve visited BEAMS SHIBUYA and it was an incredible experience. The design of the shop, the aesthetics of all of the items, and, the most important thing is how polite and friendly the stuff was! Huge thanks to Matsubayashi-san, who gently show me every item that I was interested in. Outstanding sales service experience I recently received at Toyku Plaza, the sales associate Nakda I interacted with went above and beyond to assist me. He proactively checked the availability of the item at other branches and provided me with all the necessary details to secure the purchase.
