They sold me vivenne westwood wedges that were completely rotten on the inside. I tried on a pair of wedge sandals in the store and they fit me, so I purchased it without hesitation. The condition rating on the tag said ‘B condition’ which meant just minor defects, and of course I had trust in Closet Child as a brand with integrity. A couple hours later, I changed into the heels to match a new outfit I had just purchased, and after walking in them for just 2 minutes, the left wedge completely collapsed. The inner core of the wedge was completely rotten and disintegrating, with the seams ripping and crumbs falling out. I returned to closet child immediately, just 2 hours after I had purchased them and explained my situation. They were rude and adamant about the no refund policy despite the fact that they sold me completely rotten shoes that were unwearable. I went to two cobblers to see if they could be fixed, and they said it was impossible due to the state of disintegration and also agreed that it was immoral for the store to sell these to me and not rectify the situation. I was a bit skeptical due to all the bad reviews but as I went there I realized everyone who gave bad reviews were just complaining because they are tourists that aren’t getting their hand held throughout the store. The staff are great there and nothing wrong in the slightest with their attitude.

You can browse through some of the clothing pieces but obviously for brand, they have you scroll through their site to request to see it if you are interested. I see no issue in this as I don’t want grubby tourist hands touching it when they obviously could care less about Lolita fashion. So honesty im thankful that closet child has this process. Payment process was straight forward and the clerk was kind. I don’t expect any small talk as this is japan and that is not their job so really I see no issue with this shop. Amazing shop, good choice, you can fin lots of styles but prices a bit expensive as it may depends on the original price maybe or the brand. You can also find cheap prices and all the clothes are in good state. Low prices clothes may have small defaults but nothing serious. Nice staff. The only negative point is that we can't try the clothes on. Why ? Covid has ended now, all others shops allowed trying on, so would be nice to do the same. As it is Asian size and very specific styles you find nowhere else, foreigners absolutly need to try on before buying clothes, as it may not fit or be what we think. I went to an other Closet Child where I could try on clothes on my own clothes, and took 5 items at once. You would gain benefits and customers by allowing them to try on if you do not have enough space, even on their own clothes, it is better than nothing and cost nothing.
