My daughter and I created fragrances at D Anda with Danbi in January and had a great experience. He was both knowledgeable and patient as we figured out what scents we liked and he steered us to those that would compliment and not conflict with each other. He has many fragrance options to select from and just going through smelling 80 different scents is interesting. Once we narrowed it down to a few selections in each of the three classes of base, middle and top notes, Danbi gave us each our unique formula of how many ML of our choices to add to a vial. We made our own perfume using a dropper to add the right amount of each of the component scents. (You can fine tune it if necessary according to his guidance). When we loved it, he poured it into a pretty perfume bottle and created a label with the name we chose. It's a fun process and it made a really great souvenir of our Japan trip. I can't say enough about how accommodating Danbi was and how excellent the communication was in terms of both process and language. Visited on 4/20 and my friends and I were SO impressed. I could write a novel about how great this place was. Staff was extremely helpful (I forget his name but started with an S!) and he was so kind throughout the entire process also extremely dapper. He did mention English wasn’t his first language but you’d never know so it’s really easy to navigate is you aren’t fluent in Japanese. We went as part of our honeymoon to make our own scents and we greatly enjoyed our experience. They were extremely accommodating, even though we spoke no Japanese. They helped us make our own personal scents which ended up perfect, even though our beginning direction was completely different than what we ended up liking in the end. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who would like the guide and direction of a professional perfumer and who would enjoy having their custom perfume made.
