LAWSON Kotobuki 3 Chome Store — Local services in Tokyo

An employee seemed to be discriminating against all the foreigners. The employee scanned the barcode for our museum tickets and held our tickets kept asking us “チケットがいらないですか？”(Don’t you need your tickets?) with an very unfriendly attitude, which is funny that we have already paid and I don’t see any reason that we don’t want them. We kept saying that “Yes. We need.” and he just held the ticket for long time without giving to us(we have already paid). He behaved just like he could only respond to Japanese which is kinda funny because he didn’t look like local at all. And after we finally got our tickets by translating English to Japanese and played it aloud I heard him complaining about “少しくらい勉強しましょう、日本語で(Let's study a little bit in Japanese.)”. Can’t believe that was the service from a city that’s famous...

I had probably the most nightmarish experience of my entire Japan trip in this store. The store was busy when I got my stuff (a single bottle of barley tea), but I followed the instructions and stood in line with everyone else until it was my turn to get served. When it was my turn to get served, the woman at the cashier took a look behind me to see how long the line was. It was still quite long. The woman then asked me if I could step to the back of the line so that she could serve the "locals" first.

This is nothing but blatant racism, and frankly, I'm fed up with it. Absolutely disgusting behaviour towards me from another Lawson colleague. I will never set foot in another Lawson store...

Went to this convenience store 3 times during my stay in Asakusa, we were “greeted” with the same 2 male rude and impatience staffs. We purchased Ichiban Kuji, which doesn’t require much time to open it up. However the staff rudely commented “just open it, it’s already been chosen”. It was really rude and...
