If you check my data you'll find my husband and I are long-time members. If my family members are coming here, we also reserve their stay with you.
I had a very unpleasant experience at your branch. I asked to come up to my brother's room to bring the backpack to enable their luggage to be maximized. Front desk refused, I said I'll hand it and leave soon. But the way my request was declined was unpleasant and not courteous reply.
Please understand I am a long, long time members before Toyoko Inn was in everybody's mouth.
Not satisfied I explained to Yabuki-san that I only have to deliver the backpack and leave as they're also checking out.
I was also very angry with his attitude and may have uttered some not so nice words too.
I said to Yabuki-san that we are long-time members, I respect the rules but just had to hand the backpack and help check-out at that day at 9am..
Why don't the staff listen to the explanation first before saying 'dame", "dekinai". Then...
Read moreI noticed a lot of reviews call it "no nonsense", it should be noted no nonsense likely refers to no frills, including you cannot ask for additional pillows as your kids are not considered when booking since you don't pay for them to sleep in the same room.
The pros and cons honestly: Pros: relatively quiet place to sleep close to the station. Cons: . "Breakfast" is free but not refilled often, so get there early. I did see a brunch place just down the road or even the FamilyMart might provide better options. The rooms are tiny in comparison to most hotels in Japan, which is saying a lot. Hardly any aisle room in between the wall and the beds so if you are carrying large bags or suitcases not sure where they are expected to go. Do not expect friendly...
Read moreMy first stay in a Toyoko Inn.||Close to Tawaramachi (and the Kuramae) stations.||Room small, but larger than APA Hotel ones.|Has wifi unique to each room, but unfortunately the TV does not support streaming, so no YouTube etc. TV was in an awkward position, to the side of the bed, instead of at the end of it.||USB socket near the bed which is always handy. Usual fridge and aircon. ||The room I was allocated must have had no view (or a view of a wall and aircon units) as there was a near-opaque covering stuck to the window.||Breakfast was busy, hot rice, lukewarm everything else. I always managed to get a seat, though they provide takeaway boxes to take to the room. Nice to get a breakfast included for free, even if not amazing.||Luggage storage seemed insecure, just a bunch of suitcases piled in the small lobby.||Overall, not bad and good for the price...
