I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Tosei Hotel in Kuramae. I stayed with my partner for a total of 13 nights for my second year in Tokyo. The initial train ride from Haneda Airport to Kuramae station was absolutely perfect. Throughout our trip we realized that Kuramae had a direct line to the Haneda station making it easy to get to and from the airport. You don’t have to make any transfers off the train. The staff at this hotel absolutely very kind and helpful if needed. When we arrived we presented our passports and got our room keys right away. Throughout our stay we met some housekeeping as well who were very kind to us also. The housekeeping can come in every day or you can put the do not disturb sign on the door. They will provide you with an amenities bag with fresh towels and waters as well. The hotel has two complementary waters so you can focus on bringing snacks and other drinks into the mini fridge kept inside the room. There is a microwave on the second floor of the hotel in the laundry room. The coffee machine is also convenient if you don’t want to leave the hotel in the mornings for a coffee. They provide free biscoff cookies as well. The laundry room was quite busy when I first arrived but every other day after that was easy to wash in the evenings. The laundry machines take about 2 hours and 15 minutes not including an extra 30 minutes for more drying. I usually set out the laundry before we left since it didn’t dry fully but the heater during the winter helped well with that. Our clothes would be dry by the time we came back from our outings. The room is sort of small but that is to be expected of in Tokyo. I made it work with my partner. There’s a small closet to hang up clothes and they provide free slippers for the room. The bathroom is elevated a bit but the showers get very warm and toasty. Which I loved! The bidet in the bathroom is heated and very nice on cold nights. Thankfully there was a space between the wall and the TV. I stored 2 28-Inch Checked Luggage Bags and two Carry Ons in the front of the bed. Which was perfect for us. The luggage was also able to open up in the room as well so we could pack away all of our goodies. The table in the room is a tad small but we had tons of our gadgets and things from the same day on the desk so that’s probably why. The station has many opening points to enter so you can get around Tokyo. It’s also a 10 minute walk directly to Asakusa which was always a lovely view seeing the Tokyo Sky Tree. There’s Family Mart, 2 7-11s, Lawsons, McDonald’s, and Sukiya nearby the hotel which was great for snacks or take away meals. The beds in the room are so soft and comfortable and you are able to grab extra pillows from the lobby to use. They have a varieties of softness to your personal likeness as well. I absolutely adored this hotel! I already miss Tokyo and I can’t wait to be back. I can’t recommend this...

Sayed here for 3 nights in March 2025. We got the traditional Japanese room with 3 beds. I believe it's the largest room they have.

Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Street were accessible on foot (about 12 mins walk).

Restaurants in the area are not highly rated and we didn't find any good places nearby. More restaurant options in the Sensoji area. Hotel is easy to get to by subway...Asakusa line. It's a bit far from the other areas especially Shinjuku and Shibuya (30 mins by train).

Room was nice and large...lots of space to open luggage and great for families with kids that need space to play. There was quite a bit of dust in the room especially that collected near the light switch on the bed.

They give you free bottled water daily in your mini fridge. The reception is on 2nd floor where the simple amenities are...toothbrush, razor, etc.....microwaves, coin laundry, coffee machine (was not very good tasting).

The toilet was in a separate area from the tub and sink which I didn't really like. Our room also didn't have curtains...only the Japanese window shades so there's a lot of light that comes through into the room during the day. If you're a light sleeper, this might not be for you.

Bathroom was clean and water temp and pressure were excellent.

There is also no AC, only heat in the room....you can open a window for ventilation which is fine in the winter...but would be bad in the summer.

Overall the stay was fine but I would pick another location closer to other attractions and more...

Orientierungshilfen in Blindenschrift.

Lobby & Aufenthaltsbereiche:

There’s Family Mart, 2 7-11s, Lawsons, McDonald’s, and Sukiya nearby the hotel which was great for snacks or take away meals. The beds in the room are so soft and comfortable and you are able to grab extra pillows from the lobby to use. They have a varieties of softness to your personal likeness as well. I absolutely adored this hotel! I already miss Tokyo and I can’t wait to be back. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!

Overall the stay was fine but I would pick another location closer to other attractions and more food options.

Orientierungshilfen in Blindenschrift.
