Nihombashi Bridge — Local services in Tokyo

Though the pure architectural beauty of this magnificent 17th-century canal bridge has been severely marred by modernity.

But the massive construction of the all-too-modern expressways overhead cannot rob this bridge of the nostalgia it inspires.

Somehow, Nihonbashi has managed to retain its charm.

I recommend visiting this bridge at different times throughout the day as well as different seasons.

It’s truly amazing just how much your impression of Nihonbashi can change with slight changes in the lighting.
