Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi, and I must say that my experience was truly delightful. From the impeccable service provided by the hoteliers to the convenient location and thoughtful amenities, this hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways(I was lucky to get a room with a view).
First and foremost, the hoteliers at Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi were outstanding. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and warm hospitality made me feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist me with any inquiries or requests, ensuring that I had a pleasant and hassle-free experience.
The rooms at the hotel, although they have an old-style charm, were comfortable and offered fairly good views. Despite the traditional decor, I found the rooms to be well-maintained and clean. The comfortable beds provided a restful night's sleep, and the overall ambiance of the room was cozy and inviting.
One standout feature of the hotel was the laundromat area, which is a valuable amenity for long-term travellers like myself. It was convenient to have access to laundry facilities within the hotel, allowing me to refresh my clothes during my stay without the need for external services.
The bathroom size was another pleasant surprise. Considering the hotel's central location in the heart of Tokyo, I found the bathroom to be spacious and well-designed. It was a welcome relief to have sufficient space to move around comfortably while getting ready for the day or unwinding after a long day of exploring the city.
Perhaps the greatest advantage of Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi is its location above Tokyo Train Station. This prime location serves as a natural springboard to other parts of Japan, making it incredibly convenient for travelers who wish to explore beyond Tokyo. The easy access to the train station allowed me to venture to various destinations with ease, saving me time and making my overall travel experience more efficient.
My stay at Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi was a truly memorable one. The exceptional service provided by the hoteliers, the comfortable rooms with good views, the convenient laundromat area, spacious bathrooms, and the strategic location above Tokyo Train Station all contributed to a pleasant and hassle-free stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo, especially those looking for a convenient base to explore other...
Read moreThis hotel is a really good value for a great 4-star hotel experience that has a very convenient location and great service. I wish more other hotels approached this tier on the border of luxury and value, because this seems to hit that sweet spot, especially in Tokyo, but there's still room (ha-ha) for improvement.
I have stayed in both the Queen room and the Queen train view room. Depending on the room type you might struggle if you have more than 1 piece of large luggage.
The beds were comfortable to sleep on, but they do offer a very weird pillow with what felt like tiny balls inside of them that I ditched for a more conventional one. The views from the room were amazing and the amenities provided are among the best I've seen in its price category. The queen train view room made it comfortable to store 1 large luggage and 2 pieces of carry on comfortably, but the regular Queen room might make a tiny bit more difficult. So keep that in mind if you intend to travel with multiple suitcases/backpacks.
This hotel is located at the Nihombashi exit of Tokyo Station and is also accessible through the Yaesu North exit as well as the Marunouchi North exit from Tokyo Station. It's very close to the Tokaido Shinkansen entrance and provides easy access to all of the JR lines. The Tokyo Metro can also very easily be accessed by entering through Exit B7 of Otemachi Station, which you can do right from inside the building by taking the escalator down in the general area. This gives you direct access to the Tozai Line.
The breakfast experience was overall quite good too, but it could definitely use some more space for tables and seats because during the holiday it might happen that there's a line for breakfast. They provide both a continental and a Japanese breakfast buffet and they provide toast on demand as well. The selection in food is quite good, but I would prefer the juices to be more fresh than they are currently.
The staff seem to struggle with more complicated questions in English but that's honestly just a small nitpick, because these were resolved quite easily. In particular with laundry pick up they weren't quite clear when I was supposed to put it outside, but calling the morning before the pick up deadline clears up things.
Overall a really good hotel and would definitely stay...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel’s most outstanding feature is undoubtedly its prime location, conveniently situated within Tokyo Station. This made my stay incredibly convenient for both travel and leisure.
The room was immaculately clean, with attention to detail that only enhanced the overall comfort. It wasn’t the most spacious room, but it was very well-designed, maximizing the available space efficiently. The amenities provided were modern and thoughtful, including comfortable bedding, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a well-stocked minibar. The panoramic view of the bustling city from my room’s window was a lovely bonus, especially at night when the Tokyo skyline came alive.
Being directly connected to Tokyo Station was a true highlight. Tokyo Station is not just a hub for Shinkansen bullet trains and local lines; it’s also a bustling center filled with dining and shopping options. You can easily grab a quick meal at one of the many restaurants within the station, ranging from sushi and ramen to Japanese curry and more. For shopping enthusiasts, Tokyo Station has various stores that sell everything from souvenirs to luxury goods. It even has the renowned Tokyo Character Street, which features shops dedicated to popular Japanese anime and character merchandise.
Exploring the surrounding area was also effortless. The hotel’s location allowed me to take day trips to other parts of Tokyo and even beyond. The staff at Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi were professional, courteous, and always ready to assist with travel tips or dining recommendations.
Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi for anyone looking for a convenient and luxurious stay in Tokyo. The unbeatable location, clean and comfortable rooms, and easy access to everything Tokyo Station offers made my visit...
