Public Market Larkin Sentral — Local services in Johor

Since I've been unable to travel to Johor for the past three years due to COVID-19, a lot has changed there. As soon as I arrived, the bus station that travels to Singapore and other areas of Malaysia underwent changes as well. What I meant by change was that everything is now very clean, especially the new location. Kudos to Malaysia for making a change from the type of places where everything is packed.

As is customary, food is superb. The Malay Food court has great apam balik. I can tell you that the cuisine will be wonderful for those of you who are traveling. The sweets were served hot with sweet corn in cans, peanuts (those with allergies should request no peanuts), and finally a dusting of sugar. It was the tastiest cuisine and the most soothing sweets.

I love this place. First of all, for a wet market, its really clean. Yeah of course you will hv that fishy meaty smell, it's a wet market duhhhh...but its clean. And the variety of fishes are quite abundant. There's also the dry market. It's separated from the wet. And equally its clean and amount of stuffs u can get is truly an experience to have. On the above floor are some food shops just in case you get hungry. But hold on, this place is called sentral coz the bus station is also built in the same roof. Here there's also kfc, pizza hut, dunkin donuts, mamak shop. Overall u will love this place. Follow me in Google maps for more personal updates of other places...

The market has changed quite a bit since the last time I was there, roughly about 10 years ever since I moved away from Larkin area.

Glad to see so much improvement in terms of the wet market cleanliness. However, the vendors from those days still exist with their respective shops selling fresh meat, poultry, seafood, fresh vegetables and fruits while the other section of the market occupied by vendors selling dry cooking essentials.

All transaction here is only by cash. Taxi stand is available at the entrance...
