Absolutely misleading customer information. We informed the waitress/cashier in advance that we wanted to qualify for the complimentary cake and drink promotion using the credit card. Secret Recipe (SR) should at least mention that their complimentary cake and drink promo is specifically any cake below rm8.80 and their drink is ONLY iced lemon tea for using a Maybank Card. No mention whatsoever. Ended up ordering a cake above rm8.80.

Fine, so I agreed, and asked for an RM 8.80 cake and iced lemon tea. Guess what the store manager says? "Oh, we've already given you a gift voucher, so that's the promo. So the promo is either a voucher OR the complimentary cake/drink."

WHAT?! Where in this reputable establishment was it stated that a promo of SR's choosing can easily replace any promo that they so vividly display on the customer's dining table?

Absolutely poor customer service. Here it is, in point form:

Slow, nonchalant and indifferent attitude. When we complained about the misinformation, the store manager just turned his/her eyes elsewhere.

Don't try anything kuey teow here. The noodles were tangy (kenyal), they'd be mistaken as...

Cake nice as usual, dine in a few times in this and other outlet but had a bad experience this time during delivery(first time ordering grab delivery from this outlet). My cheesecake was smashed on the sides and the biscoff biscuit was also crushed...was meant to order for my friend as a gift, lucky i had open up to check each individual box before giving it to my friend so as not to give this damaged slice... On a sidenote, i do appreciate and like how secret recipe packs each individual slice of cake in each individual box which is also easy to eat or bring out as its one...

We arrived at 9:15 pm. The waitress was cleaning and wiping the table and asked us to change seats. The other waiters pretended not to see us and the cleaning lady come served us with gloves and wrapped our cake with the cleaning gloves in her hands. This was very unprofessional. Bad attitude from one of the leading outlets in Malaysia. The food is not as tasty as other branches of Secret Recipe. And I don't know why the ingredients are not like the name of the food. It tastes sour like the face of a waitress dressed in a black color and...
