Santuy Thai BBQ - Larkin — Local services in Johor

Walked into Santuy Thai BBQ’s brand-new Dataran Larkin 5 outpost thinking I’d stroll in, chill a little… and maybe leave with a half-full stomach. Two minutes later, I’m elbow-to-elbow with folks trying to defend their spot by the “camping-style” grilling stations.

This place isn’t just a buffet—it’s a people magnet. The crowd was buzzing louder than my phone at a group chat during Ramadhan, and the line for tom yam soup? You’d think they were giving away free gold (or free tom-yam-flavored gold, anyway).

The grill sizzles like a soap opera finale, meat drips more sauce than a K-drama scandal, and the sauces—oh boy—the dipping sauces are so good, I’d risk public humiliation to get the last drop.

Pro tip: don’t wear anything that has “comfortable” written in the tag—your waistband will be under major pressure. But somehow, even while in digestive survival mode, I’m already plotting my next cameo here.

Had my sister’s birthday dinner here yesterday, kakak hyema (kakak melayu) and the other staff were too kind and service was too good. And the environment is also felt like having picnic in beach side, the only minus is hot and of course every steamboat places are like this but also they have prepared a small fan. About the food is so nice and many varieties like Chicken : pepper , bbq , Thai sauce marination also they have Korean style marination for the taste , per pax is only for RM49.90.Last , they came with a cake that we bought for my sister and they played an Indian song which we really never expected. And that was so nice gesture to us. Definitely will go again here 😃 Environment : 10/10 ⭐️ Service : 10/10⭐️ Food : 10/10...

The area of the place is not the best. Due to no lift access as i came w a baby n stroller. But the restaurant itself is super beautiful.. love the ambience.. the kids enjoyed themselves.. but i was very2 worried of them toppling over... Apart from that we really love the food. All the meat marinations was on point! Was really having a great time w all the bbq meat. From duck meat to chicken to beef and lambs. There is really a variety of food! Value for money! And free flow of food!

Service was top notch. The super friendly and welcoming staff name along helped us gets comfortable w our 4 kids.. even set up a fan specially for our newborn baby... will deffinitely come back! Terima...
