I’ve seen some pretty bad 1 star reviews of this place; but nevertheless decide to try it myself because each persons taste and expectation is different The owner is a very friendly Korean lady who allowed our dog to sit inside the restaurant as the outside tables are full. The waiters are also very friendly and fast in their service; although I could tell they’re overwhelmed with the Saturday night crowd. Personally love the inside concept of isolated seating; so you have your own private corner. Food is good. Cold buckwheat noodles came with vinegar which is lacking in most Korean restaurants; their meat is fresh and odourless. And we chose to grill our own meat (chose the pork belly and pork neck; no marination) because you can control how well done you want your own meat to be. That’s the important concept of any Korean BBQ. Bimbibap was good as well. Their side dishes were not bad; Kimchi was definitely on point - not sour at all (which occurs more often than not) Maybe I had a good day where the food was all on point; but to me it was a very good experience with reasonable priced food.

The food was definitely on point! My favorites were the Iberico black pork and the Gopchang (Korean pork intestines). Both were bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. Plus, the side dishes were fantastic! They were just like other Korean restaurants – refillable and delicious. The service was friendly and helpful, though they didn't automatically refill our side dishes. There were only two tables occupied so I thought they might keep an eye on things, but it was no biggie. We just asked and they brought them out quickly. The only thing that surprised me was the price. Compared to the portions, it felt a bit on the high side. The Gopchang, for example, was listed as a pretty big portion in the menu picture, but the actual serving was smaller than expected. Still, it was pretty tasty! Overall, I had a good experience at Doyaji. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Just be prepared for some sticker shock if you're going in expecting huge portions. (2 pax) ** Pet friendly **

Food - BBQ meat was horrible. We ordered from ala carte menu. Pork jaw was utterly not fresh and smelly, and the pork cheek was very dry. The staff did the grilling. First time ever we did not finish the meat in a Korean restaurant. Banchan and soy bean soup was good though. Service - 0 stars. Banchan took forever to refill and the meat took 25 minutes to come, after we finished the banchan and soup. Called via the buzzer but it was useless as the just acknowledge and walk away. Meat then served without sauces and lettuce. Also they mixed up the order. Atmosphere - despite no vacuum tubes it was not smokey inside. However the interior design was ugly with hideous plaster walls separating each table. Overall 2 stars. Not coming back again. Many more better Korean restaurants at surrounding areas. Go to Uptown Damansara instead, we have tried all 7-8 Korean BBQ restaurants there and they are all better than Doyaji, even the budget all-you-can-eat ones.

Rude and poor service..... Zero star... Can't comment on the food as did not stay long enough to try. Called and pre booked table outside for our large group so we could see our kids playing outside by the fountain. When we got there the lead waiter told us there was no large group table outside available and only inside. When we told him that we had booked it by calling earlier and confirming with female staff. The waiter was rude and just said 'look, look - see theres no free table outside can't you see!' Waiter then said we can only have table inside. When we told him again that we had reserved the large table outside with the female staff by phone the rude waiter just barked 'look the table outside is reserved already and we don't have any female staff working here..!'. When we asked him who was the woman looking on and talking to the staff he said that was the manager. So obviously lying to us about no female staff..! When we asked to speak to her about our booking this waiter just said 'look the table outside has been reserved for the manager's friends we can't give it to you.'

So basically very rude waiter who lies to customers. A Manager who doesn't care to get involved to resolve the issue. And ultimately our outside table reservation was pushed out and taken by the manger and her friends..

Would not recommend based on worst experience and...
