The front counter staff was welcoming and nice, room view wise is splendid and one of a kind, but lack of a bit privacy as people may see you from outside and got other room customer randomly walked into my room during massage. Meanwhile during 90min course my therapist burbbed five times(yes very loud kind so I somehow counted) I guess she just ate too much. This isn't a polite and professional way but overall she was doing her job well, a little bit too hard and moves on left and right sides a bit different though. Also there was no massage on stomach area too probably just the course I chose. Meanwhile they seem have no tradition of getting tips after the whole thing, but instead asking you to do a Gmap review with capturing screenshot for KPI kind of purpose, which indeed reduces my favour of this place, as it feels being forced to give them five star at their presence and that's why ratings here are almost all 5-star recently. Basically, lack of professionalism and privacy reduce 1-star and the final "forcing to give 5-star review" would be another star reduction. Price wise generally 1.5hr is around 200RM so it's quite expensive, similar to Singapore price but hell we are in Semporna what to do? Hope you find this review helpful and objective in some way. Good luck!
(update after getting feedback from this so-called 5-star spa who serves the people that "believes they deserve better service": the replied personnel you should seek advice from a psychological therapist and I sincerely advise you temporarily not working in service industry as this would be an severe offence to all people in this industry. It doesn't really matter with nationality or race, it is about your attitude. In a town which I can spend 4-10RM to move almost everywhere by grab, a 200RM massage with 6-7/10 masseur who doesn't know how to show courtesy and professionalism, how do you expect me to say especially after being forced to give five star with a QR code? You staff even cannot express herself clearly but keep showing the QR code in front of me to let me rate, I believe this is what they are told to do, so I need to let other viewers be aware of this as well. Meanwhile I don't come to Semporna for special service which is funny that you bring out, I'm here for holiday and diving, and I still give your staff a tip of 6-7 dollar for appreciation as this is a standard even if we do massage in KL, Penang or even Bangkok, but you are truly the first service provider that really fights me back with all your own thinking and assumptions to alter the truth. If you wanna argue, so be it. This would be my last reply and I will not modify it further. As a Google map contributor for so many years I try my best to give fare rate and anyone with independent thinking can look back into my review record, so they know what I wrote here is true or not. Once again, I strongly advise you to seek help from a psychological doctor or consultant, you need an open mind to stay in this...
Read moreThe place was very beautiful, and the view of the water during the massage is an interesting idea. The prices are high, but I thought that such a unique place was worth it. However, the massage was absolutely terrible. The woman who gave it to me clearly had no idea what she was doing. For instance, she only repeated the same movement on my back and not in the areas where I actually needed it. At times, during the massage, she rested one hand on my arm to use the other for the massage, putting her entire body weight on my arm, which was very painful. Additionally, at the end, she applied pressure to the wrong spots with her body weight and seemed to try to make my back crack, which was quite painful. I'm surprised that such an expensive place allows completely unskilled people to work there. I definitely won’t be going back. I visited on the 19th of September at...
Read moreTried this spa because of their rating of 4.9 but had a disappointing experience there. Paid for 1 hr Balinese massage. 1) The cleanness: the bed sheet was dirty and towel used was not clean too (super smelly) 2) The sea view was very calming but the massage technique was really bad. She repeated the same motion for massaging my back for a good 10 mins until it hurts. When massaging my arm, she pressed so hard and the next day got bruises :( 3) The spa charge us by minutes (RM1.49/min), paid for 1 hr but they ended shorter than 1 hr. 4) The counter lady promised to use hot towel to wipe off the oil but they just passed us a dry towel and it was very hard to wipe off the excessively used oil. Overall a very bad experience and not worth for...
