CUBE BED STATION HOSTEL — Hotel in Borneo

I stayed here back in March 2020, right around the time the corona virus began spreading in Borneo so there weren't many people at the hostel, if any at all. I stayed in the women only dorm for 5 nights and was the only one in the dorm the entire time. I still had a great time there though because it was quiet and clean. Pros: it is super close to the jetty, making it a nice view from the balcony and lobby. The staff loves to play guitar and sing during the day, giving it a nice vibe in the lobby area. The location is good, close to restaurants and water activity tours. The staff minded their own business, so that's good service to me haha. Cons: The maintenance team turns off the aircon during the day when they're cleaning so it makes it very hot some days, especially if you want to sleep in. The mattresses in the women dorm are super thing so it's definitely not fitted for someone with a bad back or joints. My overall experience was amazing and I would definitely stay...

We Travel with 2A2C stay here @ 15th Nov. 2018. One night stay in queen bed sea view room. The room is quit big, have balcony. Cos the price quite expensive. so we bring our sleeping bag for kids (7&9y). The room have it own toilet & bath. But the room clean is not so good (7/10). Comfort of bed is (7/10). The room brick wall is just an wall paper & floor is just Timber pattern Veneer carpet. But it give nice mood. The facility in room was good enough. The breakfast is just OK (normal bread, boil egg, sausage & some biscuit) & is not enough for guess. Base on the price we pay on this cube bed, they shout prepare more than this. Can be improve more. The staff is nice. When we check out the next day morning, we went to a trip, we back on 3.30pm, they let us take shower at their public shower room. The ground Reception & public area have nice mood. That the best part. Can take some picture there & have some table game there. Overall was OK...

Safe and clean. Close to Jetty. Close to supermarkets, pharmacy and restaurants.||We stayed here for 1 night either side of our Mabul dive trip in a private room with bathroom and seaview. Monday night we arrived from UK. Check in was quick and easy. Air-con worked well. Room was clean and safe and quiet. Friday night we returned and there was more external noise in the evening (Election weekend or normal??) and when it rained (torrentially) it was very loud on the roof. WiFi worked well on the Monday throughout the hotel but on the Friday it wasn't working in our room (but did work in reception). Reception was manned 24hrs and key code entry also. Shampoo and shower gel dispensers in shower.||We ate at Fat Mom's both times and food was cheap, excellent and large portions! Host spoke...
