I hate saying this but it is one of the main point where most of the guess to island delarted fr here...the conditions of the place is considered as awful...should be very well maintained n i guess those tourism company who gains theyre incomes n using the jetty take more social responsibility to make sure that the place is well maintained taking into consideration that the jetty is also a public places n there should be no rules to avoid the publics from using it n treat the jetty as personal property...i guess private tourism sector should play more role to help the local authority n take parts in providing convenience locations..they should contribute n part of they're sivil services n social responsibility reather than taking advantage of public services...i hate to say this but since i using the jetty almost everyday i hate see the tourism company treat the public places as they're private property...something hv to be done here quickly i guess...it should treated as one of the main door n provide positive impression to the guests...i hate to rate this as it is but i guess it is about realising that actions hv to be...

Semporna the self-proclaimed gateway to Paradise is probably the dirtiest place on earth I have seen so far. The entire city is a big dumping ground with a smell of sewage. Loads of trash is floating everywhere in the ocean, even around Sipadan. The locals lack environmental awareness. No efforts are made by the local government to control littering, to promote environmental consciousness and to ban shark finning, dynamite fishing, use of plastic bags, straws etc. I have mixed feelings about coming back to Sipadan: on the one hand I’d love to dive here again but on the other hand I think I shouldn’t support tourism that is far from being eco-friendly &...

This is the jetty usually used to go to the water chalets. Please confirm with your chalets which jetty to wait at, as the distance from the tourist jetty is quite far, and depending on traffic, is slow to travel with grab car.

there is a 7-11 nearby for you to do last minute shopping in case you need to get water and stuff.

sometimes there will be locals waiting at the jetty to "help" carry your bags out from the boat to the ground, or vice versa. but remember, nobody does anything for free so carry your items yourselves if you don't want to pay them. if you allowed them to hep, be considerate to tip them...
