The dive routes were well-organized, and the front desk staff were all very friendly. Special thanks to Jun for going out of her way to help us. Before we arrived, I had many questions about the dive schedule and activity details, and she patiently responded to all my emails. The team communicates fluently in both English and Mandarin, which made everything smooth and easy.

The dive masters were attentive and passionate. They constantly checked on my condition, kept an eye on the surroundings, and helped me spot marine life. Big thanks to Kamis, Malik, Abnal, and Abu—our dives over the past few days were amazing.

The quality of the BCD, regulator, weight, fins, and masks was excellent. Wetsuits came in both long and short versions, and were in great condition. On the first day, we arrived early to pick our gear, and the staff were proactive and very helpful. If you continue diving with them on the following days, you can leave your gear at the shop for safekeeping, which saves time in the morning.

Each dive trip includes a lunch box and a 2000ml bottle of drinking water. The only minor inconvenience is that the boat departs at 9:00 AM and doesn’t return until around 4:30 PM—so be sure to use the restroom beforehand.

One more thing to note: the DSD (Discovery Scuba Diving) package includes photo and video services, but make sure your dive master brings a camera—otherwise, you might miss out on this part of the experience. For Fun Dives, photo and video services are not included, so you’ll need to bring your own equipment if you want to capture...

I recently completed my Open Water and Advanced Open Water certifications, along with two days of diving at Sipadan, all through Borneo Speedy Dive and dive instructor Sharud, and it was an incredible experience.

The booking process was seamless, and the admin staff—especially Jun and Dizha—were informative, responsive, and incredibly kind, making everything easy from start to finish.

A special mention goes to my dive instructor, Sharud, who was absolutely outstanding. He was patient, thorough, and attentive throughout my training, ensuring I felt confident while having fun (he’s also incredibly charismatic, which made the whole experience even better). When we went to Sipadan, Sharud went above and beyond to ensure we saw as many special things as possible, all while prioritizing my safety. Definitely request Sharud as your dive instructor!

The boat captains were all professional and clearly good at what they do, making sure we reached each dive site quickly and safely. Each day, we were provided with tasty lunchboxes and plenty of water to stay energized throughout the dives.

Amazing team at Borneo Speedy Dive. They probably took note after the previous reviews because the team in the office was always super happy and helpful. I went diving three days with three different guides, Alif, Swan and Gino. They were all super helpful, the briefings were always very complete (about the topography of the dive sites, what wildlife we can expect seeing, currents, a recap of dive hand signs, recap of safety procedures if you've lost your buddy...). They were all super fun and thoughtful, always on the lookout to find wildlife. Food was provided (chicken and rice with a few vegetables, could add more veggies and reduce the amount of rice to be honest, and fruits for dessert) but no tea break/snacks as mentioned in the package. Adding some coffee/tea and cookies would be a great touch. My equiment looked a bit old but it was still very functional. Wetsuit was a great fit. One of the captains was driving crazy fast on the second day, it was a bit scary and we didn't understand why, but we made it all home safe.
