Excellent experience with Scuba Gen! First I did one day of Fun Dive and then decided to continue with Advanced Open Water course.

Fun Dive was indeed fun! The three dive sites had lot of things to see and the divemasters Sam and Zul were good at pointing out interesting sealife. Bonus points for an impromptu beach-photography session while we visited a beautiful small island! The multi-talented divemasters had many ideas for couple-poses for me and my partner :D

AOW course was wonderful! Big thanks to instructor Manu, who is a very talented teacher and fun to chat with during breaks on the boat. He had really good tips and guidance and explained all the exercises well beforehand. Very good at spotting interesting sealife, even the camouflaged ones!

All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the dive preparation was well done. Drinking water was always available at the boat and the provided lunch was tasty.

So we chose Scuba Gen because of its fantastic rating. They were really easy to organize and book through, and very kind.

However, we found out on the morning of that we had been subcontracted to another dive shop. So the only thing that was different was the gear we were using. Unfortunately, the other fellow who had subcontracted with me had a wetsuit zipper failure which required replacing after the first dive.

I would’ve booked with the subcontractor directly as they were 300 myr cheaper but chose Scuba Gen for their rating.

Sipidan is incredible, but it might be worth looking elsewhere as other dive companies offer the same trip at a much better price.

They also mentioned they’d have a 1:4 guide ratio and we ended up with 1:6. This was detrimental for such an expensive dive, our first dive ended up only...

I had a fantastic experience doing scuba diving Open Water course at Scube Gen diving center. We went to amazing dive sites where you could see variety of sea creatures, like puffer fish, lionfish, turtle etc.

Everyone is friendly and instructor is patient. I felt this is the right place for me even from the first diving day after seeing their professional and well-organized dive preparation process and good vibes on boat

My first day with them was a DSD, and I told my instructor Chris (who speaks Malay, Chinese and English) I already had DSD experiences but got stuck with breathing issue. With his tips, I overcame this issue and decided to continue Open Water course with them. And it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I am really happy I passed the course and learnt a lot of diving skills.
