Hammerhead Cozumel Diving & Snorkeling — Local services in Isla Cozumel

I was going to be in Cozumel via RCC Wonder of Seas and messaged the shop to inquire if they did cruise ship passengers.

Claudia got back to me and helped me arrange my dives and equipment. They could have even accommodated my friend for snorkelling but she changed her mind about going out on a boat. I was a bit concerned they would cancel when I found out it would just be me. They love diving and reassured me they would be going out on the water Meeting Claudia was like seeing a friend! Jesus double checked my equipment and Brad arrived and we were off! I had to spectacular dives. First one as soon as we got down we saw a spoofed stingray! So many eagle rays beautiful wall with so much coral and life! Homemade lunch- was such a nice touch and sandwich hit the spot! 2nd dive was just as spectacular. Jesus is an amazing dive master he knows the reef and where to look for unique fish and sea life! Felt so comfortable with him diving. Captain Jovani looked after us well- sailed well of the choppy water Brad and Cathy were like meeting new friends and had such a great dive and good conversation with them! It was an easy 15 min walk to dive shop from when you leave cruise ship terminal - I took pictures of the other dive shops I passed on the way to check out next time I was in Cozumel- DELETED all those pictures since I would not even consider diving with anyone else when I come back here! Great value and amazing customer service! They had 5 stars review and comments were all amazing. 1000% you will not be disappointed if you book with them but might be if you book elsewhere! The absolute best dive operation on the island!

Start with the office. Claudia is awesome. She speaks perfect English as well as Spanish. But what sets her apart from all others is her attitude. You can tell she loves what she does and truly wants to make your dive experience something you will remember.

Move on to the boat. It is brand new and meticulously cared for. It seats 8 comfortably and getting on the boat from the water is very easy. The boat captain, Giovanni, will even offer to allow you to remove your gear before going up the ladder. My wife really appreciates that! And when she is happy…

Lastly is Jesus. He is the owner and the divemaster. He makes safety a priority but will allow you to dive your dive. While most will point out the big stuff, Jesus will find little creatures and is truly a “seahorse whisperer”. I swear he has found a seahorse on about 20% of the dives I have had with him.

Jesus, Giovanni, and Claudia are all committed to making your limited time in the water count. The are probably the most hospitable people I have had the pleasure to work with.

My kids and I went on two dives with Hammerhead Diving during a port stop on a Royal Caribbean Cruise. They picked us up just outside the port area and were so friendly and helpful the whole day. We paid about the same amount as we would have with cruise line but had our own boat, two dive masters (we paid $50 extra so my son could go on deeper/more advanced dives), and a cameraman per our request. Cecilia and Layla were amazing dive masters. We were also able to choose where to go diving though we had to adjust our plan due to high winds. Hammerhead was very easy to communicate with through WhatsApp and though my son and I speak Spanish, they all spoke English very fluently. Between dives, we were fed yummy homemade sandwiches and fruit. If you’re thinking about going through them on a port of call cruise day, don’t hesitate. We were back on the ship with about two hours to spare....
