Favorite food and latte on the island! We moved here 6 months ago and can honestly say this delicious little cafe has been our regular spot. When it comes to good coffee, fast wifi, food made with love and a charismatic staff
Coco Cafe is the perfect place. The owner is amazing - his dedication and love he pours into the place is impossible to miss. Honestly, we can be pretty specific when it comes to our food and he never fails to compensate for our needs. Even down to the brand of soy milk - there is never a detail too small for them to accommodate the best for their guests. Plus
the view 😍😍😍 Can’t recommend enough!

Such a gem, and a welcome relief from the overly-touristy overpriced restaurants that have taken over Cozumel. Coco Cafe is relaxed and beautifully designed little place with absolutely fantastic food and truly wonderful staff. The bowls were to die for (especially recommend the Açaí and Coco bowls), and we also ate the falafel bowl which was fantastic. Fresh ingredients, beautiful plating, and reasonable prices. We came here 5+ times and enjoyed every visit. This place has great options for Vegans and Vegetarians as well. Next time we come to Cozumel, we’ll make sure we stay in walking distance if Coco.

I was served a pesto sauce—which the waitress initially said was just cilantro and olive oil—that was spoiled.

When I brought it up, the manager added vinegar to the list of ingredients (in pesto? really?) and kindly said he’d check. He later returned saying it was normal and made fresh daily.

There’s a huge difference between something fresh with vinegar and something that’s gone bad — I use vinegar every day, and this was unmistakably off. I got a stomach ache after trying the sauce.

Thankfully I only added it to the rice after finishing the toppings.

The waitress’s response was also disappointing. Rather than acknowledging the issue, I received a dismissive “it’s all good” with no genuine apology or feedback.

As for the falafel plate, in my opinion, it was underwhelming. Three falafel balls, two tablespoons of hummus, and a large portion of rice don’t make for a balanced bowl — though I did appreciate the veggies. The dish felt like a cost-cutting version of what could easily be a great meal.

If they could also take responsibility when something goes wrong, it would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.

The location and vibe of this place are truly excellent — relaxed, inviting, and a space you'd want to return to. I hope the food and service can eventually match...

Location is great; right by the coast, almost on the beach, next to the road. It has its charm. Food was mediocre, ordered a salad bowl with chicken. Chicken had no taste, mushrooms in the salad were also tasteles. The balsamic sauce has an overwhelmingly sour taste, in my opinion it should not be like this. Service is 0. When i arrived, i walked in and was waiting for the personnel to notice me in front of them. She was busy counting money; so i waited, was anyway not in the hurry...just noticed the lack of care. I asked if i can sit outside and if someone could take my order. I sat and someone came, took the order, shared the wifi password, food came...I finished almost the half of the bowl, wanted to try everything. Then i left it as i did not like the taste. Then i was waiting, waiting and waiting. Thought im going to order some desert to wash down the no taste salad, but noone came back to take my order. So after about 20 minutes i walked in and asked to pay. Was not expensive at all. I paid what i got. Would not recommend to anyone, i think there are so many other local restaurants with more tasteful food and more attentive service. Cozumel is famous of its hospitality...not the Coco...
