UPDATE: I just had my second experience at Acqua and although I didn’t think it was possible, this time exceeded the last. I had the saner services as my first time. This time I started with the manicure from Paul, who also was my masseur and let me tell you I do believe that was the best massage I have EVER had. Equal parts relaxing while being functional with a lot of wonderful stretching included. Angel was just just that, an Angel with my Vichy Body Scrub, intimate, but entirely professional my skin feels like butter after. Enjoyed Rodrigo again my first facial which was as refreshing and relaxing as before. Everything was amazing, but I believe it was Paul’s massage that took things to the next level this time. My first time at Acqua Spa, treating myself for my birthday. I had a 90 minutes massage with Rodolfo that was perfection. I then had the Vichy Shower Body Scrub with Adrian that was transportive. Next was a LONG overdue manicure with Rodrigo, poor guy, I am a nail biter and I hadn't had a manicure in 3+ years, but he worked his magic and this might have been the best manicure I've ever had. Had an amazing experience here!! Before we even got there, they gave us a call to confirm they were open the day after a hurricane. We were running late and they moved our appointment back instead of us losing out on time. My boyfriend got a massage and facial and I got a massage and one of the scrub treatments. They were both amazing for me and my boyfriend enjoyed his time as well. For my 90 min massage I had Mark. He was wonderful, he made sure I was comfortable and asked how the pressure was and I said he could go a little harder and he did. Following the massage I went and got scrubbed by Luis. This experience was out of this world! I have been to Korean spas and gotten scrubbed and this was nothing like that. It was a more sensual experience and felt like I was getting the royal treatment, a scrub fit for a king! Luis even offered to wash my hair, I have long hair and he said I was the first guy with long hair to allow him to wash it. He was worried if he hurt me but it was great and he was perfect. Luis makes you feel at ease as he scrubs your troubles away. He said I looked like Maui haha and we made small talk about common interests. I would definitely recommend everyone to go to this spa. I had a great 90 minute massage from Frank followed by a body scrub from Daniel. They were both EXCELLENT and it was clear they have a lot of experience, especially Frank.

I would have given the establishment 5 stars but while getting the body scrub the ceiling collapsed. I was face down, and I heard a large crash and then silence for a while. I really didn’t know what was going on.

It wasn’t until after the treatment that I got up and I saw a large chunk of the ceiling had collapsed and was hanging by wires. Thankfully it was in the corner otherwise it would have crashed right on top of me.

In hindsight this was a very dangerous incident as there literally is water everywhere and it looked like there were electrical wires hanging down from the collapsed ceiling. It was a danger for not just me, but Daniel as well.

The session should have stopped immediately, but it went on(I was not even aware of what happened), with ceiling collapsed, for the rest of the session and unknown to me Daniel was weaving around it (and the wires) for the rest of the session.

This obviously was not Daniel’s fault but 100% the fault of the owner who is not maintaining the facilities in a safe manner.

So owner…do better by your customers AND your staff. Someone could literally have...
