We’ve been eating at Margarita Grill since 2017. ATMOSPHERE: The music, colorful lights, and tiki bar are what initially caught my eye. It's a fun vibe for adults of all ages. An open-air patio is attached to the bar, with low top seating and loud music. MENU: Margaritas are the highlight with traditional Mexican fare. BEVERAGE: Cosmo Their version wasn't as tasty as Fajita Republic's just across the street, but I had fun which is what mattered. Mojito Gone are the beautiful glassware, now served in rickety tin goblets that have seen better days. The drinks are too large so the ice melts quickly. Banana Margarita I'm not a tequila fan in general, but when in Mexico... I saw a small list of flavored margaritas (usually flavored ones are blended but they can make it over ice) and decided on this. Available in 3 sizes, I chose the medium which was perfect. After placing my order, I had to rethink if bananas & tequila would mix, but believe me, it did! It was like a banana smoothie with tequila, and I could taste the fresh fruit, not a bottled or boxed product. FOOD: Guacamole This came with a tiny side of pico as well and both are made fresh table-side. Want to learn? Just watch! The guacamole was tasty and creamy, the pico very fresh. Margarita Cheese Melted cheese. Who doesn't love that? Smooth, bubbly white cheese in a cast iron pan with your choice of tortillas. Absolutely delish! Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp I knew I was taking a chance with Italian food in Mexico, but I came out a winner! The pasta was cooked nicely, the sauce was flavorful and creamy, with perfectly cooked shrimp. The toast slices were tiny, dull and lacked any flavor sans for butter. Steak Burrito I am super picky when it comes to burritos, and this has to be the best "authentic" one l've had yet. It was big and thick, with a nicely toasted flour tortilla. The steak strips were flavorful and tender, along with sliced grilled onions, red peppers, mushrooms, corn, and what was possibly poblano peppers. Fresh & creamy guac and refried beans came on the side. Two yums up! Chile Relleno My spouse's dish. I've always seen pics of this dish at several restaurants and was so curious to find out how it tasted. My chance finally came. He opted for chicken, but beef and seafood were available. The tomato flavors were very mild, not spicy, and reminded me of stuffed bell peppers but without that green pepper flavor. Good, but it's not for me. Margarita Grill Fish The daily catch was mahi mahi, served over a pea purée, mashed potatoes and topped with a slab of fried cheese and sautéed veggies. The fish was nicely done with a good sear here and there. Subtle yet savory flavors worked well. SERVICE: Always welcoming and friendly. Delivery time can be a bit, but it’s always hot and fresh. OVERALL: Open late, good food and fun vibes.

If I had a private jet, I’d fly here regularly from Canada. Despite its typically cheeseball touristy appearance, Margarita Grill was by far the best of all the places we sampled in PV. Impeccably serviced and well staffed, they start off with a staff member preparing fresh salsa in a pestle and mortar at your table and you get to choose the heat level. They left more complimentary tortilla chips than most places. Using previous potion sizes as a guide, we ordered an appie and two mains. Thankfully they misheard and only brought the first two items. We ordered “margarita cheese” with chorizo (you can get any protein). It’s about a pound of unbelievably perfect melted Gouda served on a bed of corn, poblano peppers and the protein served with some type of amazing avocado sauce and tortillas to wrap it all up. Well worth the inexpensive price tag. Unlike other restaurants we sampled, the three tacos by themselves are enough for two to share. The fish taco is mahi mahi and each taco has two huge lightly battered non greasy delicious strips rather than small pieces of chopped fish. And the highlight is the margaritas. Not wanting a full sized drink, we ordered the “small” size but it was as big as any drink you’d get anywhere else and tasted (having lived in Thailand, we love and appreciate the passion fruit margarita). I wanted to taste the Conchinta Pibil which is apparently a regional dish of the Yucatán with pork but thankfully they inadvertently didn’t hear that order; probably due to the Mexican band churning out John Fogerty and The Turtles. We couldn’t have eaten it anyway because the portions are enormous. Reminds me of the old days of Chevys or Chi-Chia circa 1980 when value for the money was still a thing. Staff is very friendly, efficient and obsessively clean like most in PV. They take a credit card with no added fee which is actually a rarity in this town. I’d go back if weren’t leaving. Great all around eating and drinking experience.

Nestled in the heart of PV - Margarita Grill is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you step in the lively atmosphere, coupled with the strains of live music, sets the stage for an evening of pure enjoyment. The star of the show undoubtedly lies in their margaritas – each sip is a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted to perfection. Whether you prefer classic or adventurous blends (try the coconut and pineapple), Margarita Grill's menu boasts a tantalizing array of options that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. What truly sets Margarita Grill apart, however, is their impeccable service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and attended to, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you're treated like family from the moment you walk in. And let's not forget about the guacamole – a spectacle in itself. Prepared tableside with the freshest ingredients, it's a culinary delight that simply cannot be missed. The texture, combined with the perfect balance of flavors, makes it an instant crowd-pleaser. In summary, Margarita Grill is more than just a restaurant – it's an experience. Whether you're looking for a night out with friends, a romantic dinner for two, or simply a place to unwind after a long day, Margarita Grill delivers on all fronts. With its amazing margaritas, attentive staff, lively atmosphere, and delectable cuisine, it's a must-visit destination for anyone in the area.
