If you like seafood and fresh flavours then I would highly recommend Maria Baja. This is by far the best restaurant we have gone to so far on our trip here in PV. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into every dish and the ingredients and flavour are absolutely amazing. We have gone twice so far and tried about 8 types of tacos/tostadas and each of them have their own unique tastes. It's a little off the main strip of restaurants but only a short walk from the beach and definitely worth the few extra steps!! It's nice to find gems like these in PV that are really authentic especially as we have found that many of the restaurants around here lack that authenticity! Would 100% recommend to any seafood lovers out there! Can't pick a favourite dish but particularly liked the Jicama and shrimp, Tuna and mango, seared tuna and the Rock shrimp -- but honestly every dish...

The wife homemades all desserts and the flight of super flavorful creative salsas that are served as an appetizer at all tables. The husband served us the first day, and the daughter the second day. This is a must visit spot off the main strip!
We had the fish al pastor taco, the tempura shrimp on jicama, the marlin tostada, the soy tuna tostada, and the pork belly chicharron aguachile. The must tries of these are the al pastor fish and the chicharron aguachile - the one I think you can skip is the marlin, but really everything was delicious. The basil seed pineapple agua fresca was the most refreshing and lightly sweetened drink to cool off on a hot day. The dulce de leche molten lava cake...

What a fantastic little place – everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and creative – at very reasonable prices. We so enjoyed tasting our way thru the huge array of different salsas: all complex and enjoyable, and available too in jars to take home.
The gentleman who waited on us spoke impeccable English, and after I told him of a food allergy, conscientiously cautioned me what food items to steer clear of.
It’s sheltered from rain and sun, but totally open air AND with a hand-washing sink right by the entrance, for safer eating out pandemic-style, and all staff were always properly masked.
It is located on a pretty main road, so if the noise will bother you, they also do take-away.
Currently posted hours say Tuesday thru Sunday,...
