I took classes 2x/week in June 2022 when I was visiting Playa del Carmen. The studio was at Fuente de la Bastilla at the time but I think the studio has moved to Centro.
One BIG thing to note is that if you buy a week-long, month-long, etc. pass , the expiration date starts counting down the day you buy the pass, not from when you take your first class. The owner Lu was kind enough to adjust my settings so I could use up all my classes.
If you don't speak Spanish, no worries. I communicated with the Lu before arriving and had no issues. The teachers speak English and the rest you can learn by watching. I had Pole Fit classes with Paola and I definitely got stronger—she puts a lot of effort into switching things up during the warm-up exercises. I expressed my discontent and Lupita was more than understanding and offered I’d come in early times. I admired how she rectified this, but ultimately it was the space that I found problematic for pole dance. I look forward to joining once again when they...
