Booking this excursion for my group was easy, but things took a turn the day of. Despite booking the ATV + cenote tour months in advance, our transportation did not arrive on time to pick us up. Miscommunication on their end that resulted in us being picked up an hour later than planned. (We were given a small refund for the inconvenience) The ATV ride was 20-30 minutes on very rocky terrain. One person actually flipped off the bike after hitting a rock.
But I wanted to give WARNING about the cenote. Although it's a beautiful cave and pretty water the platform is unstable! Be carful going down the steps. The wooden stairs leading down into the cenote are sketchy, unsteady and dangerous. We noticed some of the handrails were not nailed down properly. Unfortunately one of my friends was just standing on the platform and 'DUNGEON DROPPED' into the water. No she didn't fall over the rail, the floor gave out and she was injured falling into the water.
Although we did sign safety waivers, the guides didn't seem too concerned with group members being hurt on their watch. Thats what turned a good experience kind of sour. Overall good excursion, but circumstances made it a not so great experience. If I was a parent I would surly think twice before booking this...
Read moreI am extremely happy that I found this company - highly recommend it for anyone who wants to enhance their vacation with a variety of fun and adventurous activities. Usually it is impossible to book a tour on the same day, but this company made it possible for us! I was looking for an ATV tour, but these guys offered not just ATVs, but also zipline, kayaking, cenote swim and a snack at a local village. Everything about this tour was great - the price, the quality, the service. Our guide Sixto and his partner (don't know the name) made sure we were safe and had lots of fun. All of the places we visited were exclusively operated for us - that was just incredible, there was no one else there! The photographer Gaston was taking great photos of us the entire time and we were able to purchase them at the end of the tour. Everything was amazing, I...
Read moreIf you are taking a rental car beware of how aggressive the parking vendors can be. As soon as you enter drive all the way in the back which is the cheapest parking. The guys in front will charge you more and want to sell you excursions. Drive all the way back. Nice place to visit and take pic but we encountered the most aggressive parking vendors at the front. It was the worst part. The ruins are beautiful and the views are stunning for pictures. Bring a hat and sunscreen it’s hot. Only 85 pesos for general admission. $4.50. Take the train or you have to walk about 10 minutes to the general admission area. There is an additional cost...
