Went there as a family to meet up with friends who also had a young child (we had 3 under 5s). Not a suitable place for families with young children.
However we may have been misled by the name Cafe, as it was more of a bar, with bar food, and bar music. Created a rather hectic atmosphere that seemed to make the toddlers even more grumpy than usual. Ambience possibly more suited to hardened adults.

With that said, this is a classic brown bar with food on The Prinsengracht in Jordaan. It’s near the Westerkerk which happens to be next to the Anne Frans museum. There is an outdoor area in nicer weather. Tip your server since they have to dodge cyclist and cars on the road to get to your table.

The bitterballen (in photo) were delish! We were confused by the spring rolls but maybe that’s a thing?
