Visited this cafe many a time over my trip in March with my sister. Amazing selection of food and drink, both of which were very delicious. The prices were were fairly reasonable, so it meant we could try a couple of dishes every visit. However, my personal favourites were the beef croquettes and the prawn croquettes. They were so yummy (missing Amsterdam purely for those alone) and the tomato soup was a big hit for myself and my sister. The garlic bread was also as you’d expect. Unbelievably tasty. We visited at least once a day during our 4 day stay, and eventually we became familiar with the staff who were always there to serve us with kindness and a smile and always with a little lollipop as we left 🍭. They even gave us some extra lollies and some water for free for our trip back to the airport 🥺 we were so sad to leave our new favourite little cafe behind. This is the perfect spot on a cold, rainy day, and served us both well when the Dutch weather was at times not so pleasant. Plenty of comforting and cozy meals to warm you up in the chilly weather. ❄️☁️ Thank you to the staff who made our trip so special…will definitely be returning when we are next back in the Netherlands. ❤️

Sat outside here after a visit to Anne Frank House and had a lovely view of the boats going up and down the canal and it wasn't as crowded as on the the other side of the canal where the museum was. (October) Some of our group had pancakes which were cheaper than the pancake house next to Anne Frank House and they had a good choice of fillings too. The brownies are good too. Great place to sit and watch the world go by and watch the pigeons swoop in to the tables and chairs as soon as people leave their tables to eat up the leftovers!

Those who say "service is slow" must not understand how "Europe" works. I'm from the US where it's "hurry up & turn a table." I truly enjoy not being rushed. That being said, it's not a big place on the inside and 1 guy was servicing both indoor & outdoor tables. We ordered beer & the fried cheese sticks. Cheese sticks were cheddar, wrapped in wonton paper & served with sweet & sour sauce that had a little kick to it. They were DEE-Licious!

If you want to lose your money this place is much recommended. On the menu they state that everything they serve is made fresh. I can guarantee this is not the case.

I order a hamburger plus fries and a grilled cheese sandwich. The hamburger tasted as if it was a prepackaged microwave burger. Fries were ok.

Grilled cheese was not even grilled. Cheese was cold and so much ham that it was disgusting. Took 2 bites of both and asked for the bill.

The waiter was not even shocked that I wanted to run away from this place after sitting her for only 10-15 min, leaving a table full of barely touched food. They did not came up with any solution, and they will let the owner know my complain. Please pay by card en leave sir.

Don’t come here unless you want to waste your appetite. I had to go somewhere else for lunch resulting in paying double as the food that this place serves...

I am particularly I am particularly positive about this eatery. It is run by mainly Indian employees if I have understood correctly. They are friendly, but perhaps a little too impatient. Together with my daughter, we had a brown bread tuna, cheese, onion, tomato sandwich and a white bread ham, cheese, tomato sandwich. The 3 double fairly large toasties were well filled (lots of tuna) and also perfectly on temperature. Not grilled too hard or too soft. The prices are certainly not too expensive by Amsterdam standards either. And that for in the centre. Also the club sandwiches that were served on other tables were huge. I would advise you to wear uniform clothes, because everyone was wearing something else. That makes the whole thing less neat. Because of the non-uniform clothing and the somewhat impatient service, I give 4 stars...
