Upon entering this little gem I was immediately reminded of a lovely pasta restaurant I once went while staying in Pigneto called „La Scolapasta“. Small tables with plastic tablecloths, a somewhat grumpy but still friendly owner. But most importantly: Pasta. And just as in Rome the pasta was amazingly delicious. Ravioli lightly filled with spinach and ricotta, floating on a bed made out of butter and sage. A yet simple but flavorful combination that my taste buds demanded more. So I sneaked some Lasagne of from my wife‘s plate. Which was a big mistake. Not because it tasted awful, quite the opposite. Now my brain was confused with which amazing taste it should end our lunch. Before it realized what was happening my wife ate the last ravioli and I was left with the butter sage sauce. Desperate for the taste I slurped the last bits of my plate and finished with the most satisfying look on my face since discovering PB Jelly croissants. Read moreI recently visited Bocconi Pasta Italiana in Leiden and had a pleasant meal there. The restaurant is small and cozy, making it feel like a simple neighborhood eatery rather than something flashy. I ordered the gnocchi first, which were light and soft with a straightforward butter sauce. The dish was comforting.
I also tried the ravioli, filled with a basic blend of bacon and ricotta. The pasta was well-made, and the sauce added a subtle richness to the dish. The flavors were balanced and reminded me of home-cooked Italian meals.
We were able to find some tables outside which were nice and made it a better atmosphere than indoor.
The service is efficient was ok but could be better in terms of friendliness. The space is limited, so it’s probably a good idea to make a reservation during busy times. Overall, my experience was ok and relaxed,a solid spot for a simple Italian...
Read moreFood was really good(porcini ravioli, pizza was great) and tasty but i think a little bit overpriced, example the pizza : pretty simple, homemade, amazing sauce, nice cheese, but 7,50 for what is basically 1,5 piece from a standard sized pizza i think is too much, even though you can tell this is better quality of course.
Other than that the lady that serviced us was really nice and polite, the vibe was good, and most importantly great food. -0,5 star for the prices, -0,5 star for not allowing eat in customers to use the bathroom(it is just weird guys not even been able to wash my hands for an eat in situation or to use the toilet after drinking a beverage).
Having said that i will go back definitely, i liked the food, i liked the people. Try to reduce your prices for your pizza guys, it’s really good make it more accessible...
