Remarkable Sweet Shop - Queenstown Central — Local services in South Island

I don’t know what happened to this place. Who’s clever idea was it to remove customers from buying half blocks of fudge?! Horrendous marketing idea.

Myself and my wife went in with the intention of buying the equivalent of 5 full 100g blocks. But in halves with different flavours added. Of course when we were told that you now had to buy a full block, I immediately was put off by the idea, and walked out.

I’m wondering if the directors / owners of the company know about this?! Terrible marketing move, trying to push on customers to buy more. It might work with the amount of Asian customers that walk through the door. But you’ve lost a previous loyal local.

I went to this sweet shop almost certain that I would get an amazing buy, as I have been here before, I bought the sour apple hard lollies. I had 3 over 2 days (and they were almost impossible to eat but I didn't want to waste them), and the coating made my tongue bleed!! The lolly itself was covered in the most sour coating EVER, which made my lips chapped, and some enamel may have rubbed off my teeth because I'm finding it hard to eat even soft foods since.
