Esplanade Queenstown — Local services in South Island

We recently stayed at the Esplanade Apartments with two other families and it was perfect for what we needed. The apartments are beautifully appointed with plenty of space, including parking and storage if there are certain things you don't want to bring inside. The kitchen's are large and have everything you need to look after your family if you don't feel like going out for dinner. There is a large island bench which was great for meal prepping as we were taking our own food to the ski fields, but this area also ends up being the social hub of the apartment if you're traveling with other family and friends like we were. The bathrooms and bedrooms are also spacious and well laid out. Having a washing machine and dryer is handy if you need to get things washed and dried after a day on the slopes, or any other activities for that matter.|Being across the road from the lake, the views are amazing. The location is perfect with it being a short walk into the centre of town.|Absolutely nothing to complain about with this accommodation. A modernly furnished villa, with an excessive amount of cooking appliances and cuttlery. It was dissapointing we only found out there was no reception after booking, and it takes the majority of the day to prepare the room. Check in is at 3.00pm. Was defs worth the wait though. Theres also a wide variety of DVD's and an okay TV.

Probably would be back! Of all honesty though, wasn't a perfect experience. Surprsingly, there was no milk, not even a 50ml carton. No Breakfast service either. Theres isn't much open in the area during the morning, you would most likely have to make breakfast during your stay. No A/C upstairs was also a little fustrating.

I stayed for 5 nights at the Esplanade and it was such a nice stay. The furniture is comfortable and the decor is so homey and cute. The fireplace made the cold autumn nights so nice and peaceful. Everything was clean when we arrived. It's in a perfect location, right across the street from the lake and a short walk to a playground. I have 2 young kids so with the kids pace it took us 10 minutes to walk to the shopping center. It was close to the shopping center but not too close where you hear people all night. We stayed at 8 hotels while traveling throughout New Zealand and this one was my favorite! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip...
