Per the manager’s very own words:
“This place is not luxury” she said while talking down about the very property she operates and then proceeding to nickel and dime us for hidden fees and charges not disclosed prior to booking
With that said, be prepared to be threatened to be kicked out of your fully booked and paid for room by the horrendous manager if you are not available during their normal business hours (which are far less than any traditional rental) to pay for their ridiculous fees they will hit you with if you misplace the room key and get locked out after their office closes(5pm). They will ask you to report by an early morning hour to their office or threaten to cut your paid for room access if you don’t bend at their will while on vacation.
$100 access to room if locked out after hours $10 per key card $12 for a dryer that eats your coins that manager refused to refund (it was either that or the key card charge)
None of which are disclosed on any booking site they advertise on
Funny enough they are quick after their money, but when we had an issue with the AC not working, we were told the room doesn’t have AC which it clearly did, and then when they said they would come check it out, they never showed, leaving us in a hot and stuffy room.
Lastly, when speaking to this so called manager, she was rude, condescending, and absolutely does not deserve a place dealing with clients in this space. Piss poor customer service and bad attitude. Guest beware, stay here at...

As a second time customer from Christchurch New Zealan, I was humiliated by the unprofessional and rude manger of this property, Jade.
The manager of this place - Jade - is not suitable for her role. She is very inpatient and fixated personally. She cancel my paid booking in front of my face even I do prepare all docs she request for check in. Her ridiculous reason is my rudeness. Dear Jade, is any insults words I used against you? You just lost the your patient or cannot hold your discrimination urge?
It’s pity for the owner of this property. Jade is actually only welcome her type of clients not concern about this business.
Or it’s luck for the owner of this property. As an unjust treated client, I am willing to voice out it.
After the unexpected mess brought by Jade, Ray manage to successfully find another hotel and smoothly checked in (Sofitel ). Check in is a routine and easy process. How Jade change it to kick paid customers out its door. She even call the police. What’s drama for a simple check in?
The financial loss Jade brought to me is NZ $ 460.00.
In last words, Highview apartments Queenstown shouldn’t worth a consideration at all if such unprofessional manager Jade is in charge. Your fully paid booking have a significant chance of cancellation on the spot, if you are not...
Read moreThe best thing about Highview is the view. It is perfectly located on the lower hills just to the south-west of the town centre offering views across the lake and The Remarkables that are quite simply stunning. I spent much of our time when we were in the room sitting out on the spacious furnished balcony just soaking up the morning or evening landscape. I couldn't get enough of it!
We booked a Lake View 1 Bedroom Apartment for our three-night stay, and I think it would be hard to make a better choice. The apartment was spacious, well laid out, modern and clean, and had a terrific bathroom. Everything was comfortable, and it was well equipped with all you might need during your stay. There is no daily servicing of the room, but whenever we needed anything the room maids were only too happy to help.
It's an easy downhill walk of 800-1,000m to town, about a 15-minute stroll. Coming back up is a little harder, but if you are feeling lazy there is a great work-around pointed out by another reviewer. Walk along the waterfront to Rydges Hotel: cross the lobby and take an elevator to the 6th floor, then walk into the QT Hotel section and take the QT elevators to the 8th floor; from here you exit via the QT Hotel lobby onto Thompson Street and are only half a block away from...
