Authentic Malay Flavors at Kampung Style Restaurant
Indulging in the flavors of Malaysia, I recently visited a charming kampung-style restaurant that left me utterly satisfied. From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of freshly cooked dishes tantalized my senses.
The authenticity of the food spoke volumes, each dish bursting with flavor and prepared with utmost freshness. From the aromatic spices to the tender meats, every bite was a journey through Malaysian culinary tradition.
Portion sizes were generous, ensuring that no one leaves hungry. The quality of the ingredients used deserves a solid 10/10 rating - a testament to the chef's dedication to excellence.
Whether you prefer the cozy indoor seating or the refreshing outdoor area shielded from the cold winds by blinds, the ambiance adds to the dining experience.
Not to be overlooked is the impeccable service provided by the professional staff. Attentive yet unobtrusive, they ensured a seamless dining experience from start to finish.
In conclusion, my experience at this Malay-style kampung restaurant was nothing short of delightful. With such remarkable food and service, I have no doubt that I'll be returning for more...
Read moreCool concept being situated on the station platform, however several options including all laksa dishes were unavailable (despite us arriving at usual dinner time), this was disappointing. Even the rice noodles were out of stock (which limits the options for gluten-free diners). They did not have hot tea, typically available at every Malaysian restaurant I've been to. Instead they served cold water, despite the place being cold - as the doors were wide open, though after mentioning our discomfort they brought out a gas heater shortly after. I doubt that will suffice a month from now. Not the quietest dining, as the doors are wide open to Glen Eden shops, and the train is very noticeable when it passes, though not bad enough to deter us from returning. The Kampung Style Claypot Lamb Curry dish I ordered was tasty (and included sufficient meat), as were the Pandan Leaves Chicken. The staff were friendly, meals arrived without delay, and the pricing was reasonable. I dined here due to the ratings (everywhere) being so good and I agree - it has the potential to be a great...
Read moreWe came by for lunch since it was nearby. The restaurant is located at the train station which was interesting. Keep an eye out for the sign on the road. The place isn't very big but they do have a few tables outside too. We were able to get a table inside without booking. The menu is interesting, particularly their flying noodles, but that requires pre-ordering. We grabbed a few items to share. The char kweh tiew was nice here. It has lardon in it so it was that nice flavour. The wok hei wasn't very strong though. We also got the salted egg kumara and that was quite nice. The lamb curry was interesting as it came out in a sizzling hotpot. The flavour was quite nice and the lamb was fairly tender. The food here is quite nice. It is a great place if you like Malaysian dishes. There were a few other items here that did look interesting, particularly the...
