I came in the store this afternoon with my friend, just want to ask why the powder I purchased few months ago always get some thick brown things on the surface, it is hard to get the powder. I firstly been greeting with a lady and she said she has no idea and need to check with someone else. Then the Chinese lady came to me, said this is a normal situation because the powder get wet due to the current weather of Auckland and the oil from our skin. She then started use her work clear tape clean on my powder and said this is a good way to remove the bumps.
I totally understand that your product could happened due to the reason she explained, but I can’t accept her manner and the way she treats her customer. Firstly, she didn’t even check my purchase history, oppositely, she said to her colleague “She didn’t buy from me.”. This is unprofessional customer service process. Secondly, I don’t think use work stationary tape clean the powder is a right way to solve the problem to customer. Due the hygiene reason, work tape is not purpose to use on customer’s personal item. She didn’t get my persimmon first. Thirdly, she didn’t wear her name badge, and I want to grab her names, she said it is not fair to tell me her name, she then asked her colleague to call security to get me out of the store. Fourthly, I talked to my friend in the store that I want to post my issue on social media and find out if this is the normal and acceptable reason for this product, but the lady use very impolite manner told her colleague that I am threat her. I believe that I do have right to post my concern of a product on my personal social media. Meanwhile, I felt my private conversation has be stolen.
This is such a extremely poor experience with Chanel, I did not even require any refund return and exchange, I just want to get a reasonable explanation. But the staff provide a very unprofessional and rude service. I believe the Chinese Lady’s name is Coco, she is the manager of the store. From a customer’s perspective, a good shopping experience should include after sale as well, and staff present the culture and value of the brand and business. We have never experienced such poor, unhelpful and unprofessional behaviour EVER in a high end store like Chanel . We often always purchase high end products from Louis Vuitton , Gucci etc and have always been treated with respect and excellent service as should be expected for stores of this nature since we are spending a lot of money however the service at this store has completely changed our view on Chanel for the worse . Larry lacked the competency and ability to deal with our issue and proceeded to yell and argue with us in the store to our horror . We have purchased many items from Chanel but this will be the end of our purchases after this experience much to our disappointment . People such as Larry should not be allowed to be in roles dealing with high end clients as he lacked the ability to professionally address what we needed and it is shocking Chanel would allow such to even happen at the expense of losing clientele . Very disappointed customers.
