A great cosy venue for a group dinner! I had heard great things about the Brit Pub & Eatery. We went as a group of 8 for a birthday on a Sunday evening and it was a little busy but not too crazy. Booking was easily done on their website. (I can’t speak for other potentially busier days of the week in terms of wait times or service, but if that’s an issue for you, consider planning a Sunday night dinner!) The venue has some pool tables, and a great bar which gives it a really cool and casual atmosphere. Regarding service, the staff were really great! We did order most of our food and drinks via online (rather than table orders which I’m used to and would prefer, but that’s more of a personal preference). Food and drinks came out promptly even with a large amount of food and drinks being ordered. Their cocktails are impressive and exciting with best concepts that embrace some of the classics (like the Brit Spritz) with some more contemporary (like Sour Patch Kid). All the cocktails were really enjoyable! The food was superb - can’t beat a classic beef burger. The wagyu burger was cooked perfectly and was one of the best I’ve had in a while. Same with the chicken burgers too. There is a wide selection of pizzas too that we enjoyed and they’re quite large and perfect for sharing. Some of the others like their cheesy bread, and fish and chips were also spot on! The Brit gave us a fun experience, and I’d say it’s certainly worth checking out.

The Brit Pub & Eatery was pretty good. The food was nice although the nachos weren’t the best as it lacked meat and flavour. The guacamole was good though. It had a nice little kick of spice to it. The service wasn’t the best however. You order it yourself which some people like. Half an hour in we were all happy because don’t get me wrong it’s a nice place. But… As we were talking and not worrying about the food and drinks much the waiter without saying a word took one of our drinks and walked off when it was still half full. We were also missing a sauce but no big deal. Atmosphere was pretty good but then reality kicked in and the Auckland reality came. Some drunk guys in tights and sumo wrestling type gear came in and danced. It was crack up but obviously out of the blue. Overall it’s a pretty decent place and if your chill and just want a quick bite then this is the place for you. 4 stars.

The Brit was the first stop we had for food in NZ during a trip. Very well located, nice atmosphere and decent food with great selection of beers. The food was good with some downsides. I went with my in laws so we ordered 4 dishes. I had the chicken shinitty, NZ style with a fried egg and a gravy. The chicken was good, just the gravy was blend and didn't add almost anything to the dish. The other people on the table ordered the cheese steak sandwich. That was the best on the table. Succulent, well seasoned, and very big. The sun dried tomato panini, that was good as well but nothing special. And the fried chicken burger, where they used so much butter to toast the buns. The sandwich was basically tasting butter. Making the experience of the food a little bit disappointing. In general good place, well located and decent food. I recommend if you are close to it.

Upon a recent family foray into the bustling heart of Auckland's city centre, we happened upon 'The Brit', a sports bar nestled near the thrumming veins of the Central Business District. Now, let me tell you, expectations were, shall we say, cautiously optimistic, as one might find themselves when venturing into such establishments known more for their televisions than their culinary prowess. The choice of repast for myself was a chicken dish, which, upon arrival, teetered precariously on the edge of culinary decency – it was, to put it mildly, in the very cusp of being considered safely edible. Visually, the dish presented itself with a modicum of respectability, hinting at a potential hidden within that sadly never came to fruition. The taste, or rather the stark absence of it, ventured into realms of such profound blandness that it could very well serve as a benchmark for culinary ennui. It was, in essence, a flavour vacuum, an achievement of sorts, I suppose, in an age where seasoning is neither scarce nor expensive. One does ponder, with a fair degree of bewilderment, how an establishment such as 'The Brit' continues to thrive within the modern culinary landscape of Auckland's city centre, a stone's throw from the pulsating heart of commerce and industry. The juxtaposition of its prime location against the unremarkable fare it peddles is a conundrum that could very well occupy the minds of many a gastronomic philosopher. In conclusion, while the ambience of 'The Brit' may cater to those seeking the camaraderie of sports enthusiasts and the like, those in pursuit of a memorable dining experience may find themselves embroiled in a quest that, much like our chicken dish, proves to be somewhat...

We came in last night to watch the women’s football game, only to find out the second half wasn’t going to be commentated upon live as there was live music going to come on then. Although it was still shown on the screens, this was most disappointing for a lot of ppl. Once the music came on there were at least 5 tables of ppl that got up and left. We decided to stay but the music being so incredibly loud made it totally impossible to even talk with each other. It was so loud it made all sings sound distorted on top of the lead singer having a poor voice and making a mess of what were good songs. The band was just terrible and the volume far too loud for the premises. On top of that the door to outside being slapped around by the wind, no one seemed to be bothered to do anything a bout it. All in all very poor judgement by management as there were a lot of ppl that came to watch the game. Music could have easily started after the match. We have visited your place quite a few times because the food and ambience has been good but were utterly disappointed last night and will...
