Tried this place out for the first time. I was in the area for a click and collect order so ordered my dinner from here. No specials available from what I saw. Takeaway only. A couple of stools available to perch on whilst waiting for your order to be ready. I ordered the snapper and paid extra for it to be crumbed. The crumb wasn't great at all and I regret paying extra for it. It was quite dry and a panko crumb should be used instead. Snapper didn't really seem that fresh. Also ordered a sausage. For NZD19.00 portion of chips wasn't that great and no lemon wedges. Owners didn't appear to be very friendly....

Asked for no salt and they ended up accidentally adding salt. Rather than cook a new batch they just deep fried it again and consequently the food ended up being tough.

As a matter of courtesy I called them up and told them that the food was tough due to deep frying twice, I did not expect a refund but they shouldn’t do that. All the owners could do was disagree that it would not be tough and worry about a refund. They did apologise but to be frank rather than be so defensive they should listen to customer feedback.

Best to go to other 562 fish and chip shop 200 metres...

We‘ve ordered fish & chips, steak and egg sandwiches. The fries and the fish were underseasoned. We thought when we ordered sandwiches that we get it with sauce or salad, but it was just steak on white toast for 6$ dollars without any sauce or toppings. And the egg sandwich was just an overcooked dry fried egg on toast without any sauce or toppings. If you want to grab a great sandwich go to club sandwich lunchbar...
