OK GIFT SHOP — Local services in Waitematā

Did not plan on buying anything, just looking around. The service from these ladies was the best. They let me know they were there if needed then left me alone to browse. I needed to cover up from the intense sun today so ended up buying a handmade in NZ Hills Hat (made from recycled Havana Coffee Bean Sacks. Now my addiction is written across my forehead for all to see). Each of these hand made hats are uniquely different and it was hard to choose so one of the ladies went to their store room and brought in more hats in my size to choose from. Great service, plus, she knew the history of this product and the manufacturers. I found the one I really liked and was happy to pay. Their product selection is knick-knacks for a few bucks to very nice quality hand crafts in the higher price range. Unless you speak mandarin or Cantonese don’t go to this place. There were assistants everywhere none of which spoke English. There we’re signs up offering discounts but not in English. I asked if they had something and was told NO I asked DO YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN she said NO but because I was from New Zealand she didn’t want to help. I felt like I shouldnt be there. OK Gift Shop Review on 2072/2024

This is very close to the Auckland Cruise Ship Terminal. The shop signs are big and very visible to passers-by.

It carries a large range of products, from clothing to cshoes, place mats to fridge magnets, very cute soft toy, especially the little fluffy white sheep.

There are souvenirs with imprints of fern, and kiwi fruit.
