I'm not normally one to even bother leaving bad reviews but this one is definitely necessary.
By far the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received. I should have read the google reviews before booking. To any other potential clients, if you have an extra 15mins travel time to spare - BOOK AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION such as Newmarket & Albany, they provide beautiful work and the service is miles better than here.
Their attitude & service emanates 'cheap walk-in mall nail salons' (the ones we all steer clear from) with the price expectations of a semi-luxe salon, there's nothing relaxing or luxurious about terrible customer service; if both team member & manager aren't knowledgeable in client service management - what do they uphold as the luxe AON brand image? It's a tacky experience packaged under the name of AON.
I called as I saw a full charge made to my account (to my knowledge I had booked for a different day - which in their defence was my human error). I queried this with the Team on the phone to which they let me know they had called, left voicemails & waited for 15 mins before having to give up my appointment to walk-ins. I accepted my human booking error and offered to pay 50% for the no show ($57.5) and book for the next day for the service and pay full ($115), the team member dejected firmly insisting 15 mins was lost trying to leave me voicemails (I did not receive any call as there was an incorrect phone number attached to my booking file - there was no way to update this nor knowledge the wrong number was on my profile and the team would have been made aware of the incorrect number due to SMS send fail appearing on their booking system and the phone number saying it was disconnected with no ability to leave any VoiceMail. I was then passed on to the manager who blamed me for the incorrect number, but then assured me it is most unlikely I would have to pay the full amount for my next booking and "booking me in" for the next day saying they would contact me regarding the charge as they'd look into it. They never contacted me back that day as they assured, they didn't ask me for an updated number, they didn't even book me in for the next day despite numerous verbal confirmations, they emailed me the next morning backtracking from what they said on the phone - shifting the blame back onto me saying I confirmed the no-show appt (which I didn't, and further contradicting themselves saying they had no communication from me at all). The service I received on the phone and after, was very rude and very disingenuous with very little care for any client retention.
They gained $115 for a service they never provided (which is a loss I've happily accepted), but they'll soon realise terrible customer service = loss in revenue. Judging by their reviews, customer service is not their strong point nor something they're looking to improve upon (time and time again blaming clients). MY RECOMMENDATON: GO TO OTHER ART OF...
Read moreI'm a regular customer of Art of Nails. I go at least 2- 3 times a month for acrylic on my hands and my pedicure. This salon is probably one of the most well known and pricey salons in Auckland. If you're an avid nails woman like myself who loves having perfect looking nails then you would understand that if their work is immaculate and the quality of service is good...then I think it's worth the price. However, recently I had a really disappointing experience with them. Their policy is if you cancel within 24hrs of your appointment, you need to pay 50% of the service that you booked for. They recently sent me the confirmation of my appointment...them few hours later they sent me an email saying...due to unforeseen circumstances...they had to cancel. If they can do that then what happens to the customers? It's double standard... I know they cancelled on me because my usual nail technician has gone overseas for a month. But I was still able to book my appointment online. No problem. I KNOW they cancelled because my usual technician wasn't there and there was no one available. At the time, because they have few stores, they booked me with another girl but obviously something happened. I told them that they should PAY for my service since I had to make an appointment in their other store ... but what's funny is that.. that same technician was in another store...I had to make the appointment myself?! I called them out for lying because there is NO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES... they probably just made a mistake. Ever since I've asked them to pay for my service which THEY CANCELLED, they haven't replied back to me. I told them, it's ok for YOU to cancel and not compensate but as customers WE HAVE to pay 50% of our service. Maybe CUSTOMERS also have UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES TOO? I wouldn't recommend this place. It's very sad as I've gotten to know the other staff...
Read moreI went to this place for the very first time to get refill for my acrylic nails and I needed one pinkie to get fully replaced. I was additionally charged $40 which came to shocking $125. After 2 days the top goat gel started to peel off. I came back to get them fixed however a couple days after the same problem happened again! On day 4 majority needed to be fixed again completely! I have raised the issue via email with assuming with the owner of the establishment who refused a refund of the original $85 as I understand that time was spent and staff needs to get paid. The material must be very cheap not even mentioning that the pinkie I had fully replaced had completely fallen off the very first week. Although I was offered to come back again, I strongly refused after reading exactly the same poor Google reviews with the same feedback. Cheap material, peeling off, incredibly overpriced. My repeated emails were ignored and no refund has ever been processed. The owner is not taking any responsibility and was shifting a blame to avoid any accountability. I am beyond shocked to experienced such a poor approach from the management. This place is...
