I spent a week there in October for a SCUBA trip with friends. The hotel owner picked us up at the airport and welcomed us to the island. He showed us around and introduced us to Roy the onsite manager.||||The first thing you will realize is that they will get you anything you need. You truly feel like a VIP. There are only 6 rooms that I know of so they all know your name and your requests. WiFi worked in the room with decent speed.||||They dont have an onsite restaurant but they have an arrangement with the local place that delivers for no fee. The food was actually quite good.||||Each room has an outdoor kitchen with a 5 gallon dispenser or fresh water so you dont need to purchase bottles. There is a fridge inside the room to store your drinks and food. We didnt cook but did use the stove to reheat some leftovers.||||Room was clean and tidy with a standard bed. The bathroom can use a makeover which I was told is in the works one room at a time.||||The pool is amazing and fresh water with a great temp. The patio is layed out well with recliners and couches with shade.||||Each room comes with a scooter so you can go anywhere you want. Ask the staff for locations to visit and they might even go with you (which happened in my case)||||The town is very close and quite small so you can either take a 10 minute walk or take the scooter. ||||Noise was never an issue, perhaps due to the small size of the place, so sleep was easy.||||I...
Read moreIt is our honeymoon trip and I decided to try Nora's Place due to high recommnedation. From Panglao airport to Nora's Place will cost you P400.00 only (via van) My request for some flowers on the bed is ready upon check in and my wife loves it and been surprise for this arrangement. They also gave us complimentary bottle of good red wine to celebrate our day. The Boutique Manager Roy is very accomodating and he upgraded us to their newest Room ( No. 8) this is his previous room and now open to guests. The room is very spacious and with british touch. See below photos. They serves delicious dinner as well if you're tired to get off from your room. In addition, Receptionists Ann and Isay are also very helpful. They're always available when needed. When you booked the room it comes with FREE Bike. Unfortunately me and my wife doesn't know how to operate it. But they help us to book a self driven automatic car which very helpful to roam around the beautiful city of Bohol. I highly recommend Nora's Place to stay with. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thanks for the warmth welcome and surely we will treasure our experience in Bohol. PS : Wifi...
Read moreI regret staying and bringing my family in Nora’s place. This is a very honest review. I believe the property is more suitable for backpackers and couples but for a large family with young kids, you have to avoid this property. ||One of the biggest issue was the cleanliness, I understand that this was only a 3-star hotel which could mean that there’s no standard of cleanliness. The bed sheets and pillow cases has old stains, hope the owner will eventually replace new bed sheets. The pillow itself was bad, it even showed signs of overused which caused it to discoloured and the smell wasn’t pleasant (pls see photo). The bath towels were so thin! Very old! It feels disgusting. ||The traumatic part was when my daughter had bad rashes all over her arms and legs during our stay. We suspected it was a bed bug but we tried our best to ignore the idea since we just want to enjoy our Bohol trip. ||As a guest, I wasn’t happy at all. I find the reviews deceiving. I should have taken into consideration that most of the guests don’t have young kids. It’s meant for barkadas and backpackers only. Hope the owner will take cleanliness...
