Panarottis Fourways — Restaurant in Gauteng

Had the most terrible experience at Panarottis Fourways Mall!!! We went there on Sunday 17 December 2023 around 12:20, after spending time at Santa Land, we were 4 adults and one toddler. Probably 3-4 tables were occupied at the time we got there, so it was not busy. As per the norm, we ordered drinks and told the waitress to give us a few minutes before taking our order for food. It started getting busier and more and more people came in. At that point, it started to get quite humid, stuffy and quite hot in there. After enquiring about the Aircon, the Manager (I assume), came to us and other members were also complaining about the non-functional Aircon, but she has reported it to Centre Management, as they control the Aircon. This was the last about the aircon and we continued to endure the heat, sweat and humidity, as we were waiting for our food. No Update, feedback etc!!

Eventually our food arrived after more than an hour of waiting, and this is where the second issue occurs. My order was a pizza, as clearly stated on the menu, under the Pizza section. Guess what?! What they brought me, was a Flat Bread base, with the toppings as per my Pizza order!! Already disgusted about the Aircon not working, I called the waitress and enquire about the fact that I got a Flat Bread instead of a Pizza. Quite incompetent and with a lack of knowledge, she couldn’t explain why an item under the Pizza section, was actually a Flat Bread! The next moment, the Manager came and said: “I hear there is a problem with the order?” Explain the same thing to her, and guess what…..blame it on the Management / Head Office when compiling the new Menu’s for the stores!! And said she will take it up with them!! No responsibility or accountability from any of the staff/manager in the restaurant.

Misleading customers with a menu that advertise something, but getting something completely different!! That is terrible!!

No, I did not send it back and did not order something else, as I had my family with me and did not want to create a scene.

I just know that Fourways Mall Panarottis will NEVER see me again and I will definitely NOT recommend it to any of my friends and family.

While the food and service are good I wasn’t fully impressed on the food option especially when dining out. Pizza box was not closed properly nor sealed with a sticker. They give you the option to pay and add the usual condiments of chilli, garlic or Parmesan and charge that at R12 per added condiment . I think charging for condiments for takeout options is weird given that when you dine in these are included in the price of the meal. But also I was disappointed when I ordered garlic and instead of them putting it in a container (like every other establishment does) so that I can add it my self how and when desired onto my meal they sprinkled it very sparingly on my pizza. I think for R12 a person should get a container and also be able to decided how they add that garlic on their meal and secondly the garlic they used was stale and completely ruined my pizza and I had to pick it off but it also then made the places they put it wet and taste weird cause of the stale garlic. I think It’s an absolutely horrible idea to to add the condiments on peoples meals you have no way to know how much or how little they want or even if they want the stale garlic at all. What was a great pizza was ruined by them putting ing garlic on it instead of in a separate container. When people dine in and ask for the chilli, garlic and Parmesan it’s brought in a separate container not put onto the dish ordered keep it the same for dine in and takeout. This was our 2nd time trying them out after the first time we ordered a take away and then had to send management pictures of the pizza been dry and hardly any toppings. Today we decided to try them again after we had been contacted a while ago by management to correct the first experience they even gave us the pizza on the house as a make up for the last time n the pizza was good just like how we have it at any other panarottis by far our favorite is eastrand mall they never disappoint. Anyways today we tried fourways again after the last pizza was good. We waited a whole hour for the pizza, the waitresses kept saying 5mins more even management came in and when I told them they ain't even busy so we don't understand why it taking long the female manager looked at me like I was talking french🙄 anyway my husband got frustrated and told them we'll pay for our drinks but we'll dine elsewhere then we was told by another male member of management that apparently his shift has only trainees so that's why there is a delay. I cannot comprehend how can a whole shift be made of trainees which makes no sense. Anyways fourways won't be seeing me again they truly are a waste of time.
