I bought a three-month course and attended the first two lessons. Then, due to a serious personal situation, I had to leave Barcelona (at first, I thought it would only be a few days, a week at most, but it dragged on), so I didn't take any more lessons. About a month later, because I simply hadn't had the time earlier, I wrote to the school's email saying I could no longer attend lessons for personal reasons and asked for a refund of half of the amount I had paid. It seemed fair, we still had more than half the course left, and I definitely wouldn't be taking any more lessons. Unfortunately, I received a response saying I hadn't given them advance notice that I wouldn't be attending, which I would have understood at the time if I had wanted a 100% refund, but I didn't. Although I personally only took TWO lessons, I asked for a 50% refund. They offered me a voucher for the remaining lessons and told me it was exceptional. Highly Not Recommended!

I’m not able to comment on quality of courses in this school but can definitely highlight a very poor customer orientation.

My experience: Reserved a Mon – Wed course 1 month in advance. 1 hour ahead of first class the school notifies me that the schedule changed to Tuesday - Thursday therefore I was supposed to go the following day. I kindly advised that with 1 hour notice I could not change my plans and make the first class the following day however could have adjusted my schedule going forward. I requested to not be charged the first class due to 1-hour notice provided – talking about €10 out of approx. €300 course. The feedback I received was that reimbursement was not possible as 24 hours’ notice was provided considering that the class was moved to the following day. I first came to Barcelona with no knowledge of the Spanish language at all and my first stop was getting into BCN Languages, to inform myself about the possibilities of learning Spanish.

I was warmly welcomed and quickliy informed about different types of courses, which were also offered to a very attractive price.

The classes are small and the learning effect is huge. Within 6 months of classes I took, I got to the level of B2+.

The staff is very nice and I can only recomend anyone to go there to improve the language of desire.

I personally had a great time there, also with the afterschool excursions, which were always affordable and well organised.

I couldn't have wished for more, therefore 5 well...
