Ethnopur — Local services in Madrid

We were on vacation in Madrid, staying nearby, and wandered in to look. They have unique pieces that I have not seen elsewhere in my travels, and certainly not back home in the US. What I liked most about the store is that they share some background about the artisans. I love that you can connect the artist to the jewelry, making it feel that much more special. We ended up buying two pieces, a bracelet for my partner and a ring for me. We receive many complements on them. My partner calls his bracelet his Madrid "drip" (US slang), and wear it most days to work with his suits. Because there is a connection to a real person, I feel a certain responsibility to ensure that the piece is always handled with care and respect. It's not like I don't normally take care of my things, but I treat it with extra special care like it was passed down to me and wear it only on special occasions. There are different price points for every budget. Obviously, the more intricate the piece, the more it costs. While there were pieces that were clearly above my budget, I didn't find the prices to be unreasonable given the quality and level of craftsmanship. The salespeople in the shop were friendly, and let us try on various pieces. They weren't pushy and didn't follow you around. Very chill and laid back, but ready to address any questions.
