If you like pizza OR beer you need to try this place! If you like pizza AND beer you should be ordering already! Seriously good food and drinks! I tried 8 of their beers (they have 200mL small glasses), including some great IPAs and hazy IPAs, and a 14.9% barrel aged Imperial Stout! (They have lighter beers too, some they brew and some guest taps). The server was very friendly and helpful, spoke perfect English, and made me feel very welcome even though I was by myself.
The pizza is also great, thin crust, not soggy on the bottom at all! You can get a half-and-half pizza so you don't have to decide between all the many flavours! I had no regrets with my 2 choices! They also have a spicy oil you can drizzle on. I started with a salad (I asked for no chicken) which was very good too (it's not easy finding veggies when on holidays I find). The atmosphere was great upstairs and downstairs is like a cozy funky cave! The music was pretty good too. I'd definitely come...
Read moreTop notch craft beer and Roman-style pizza in the heart of Madrid. Located in the Barrio de las letras-Huertas, and but a few steps away from Puerta del Sol ,this beer haven has a phenomenal rotating craft beer list, and an extensive and tasty pizza-centric food menu to go along.
While the drinks are not exclusively circumscribed to beer, this is a committed quality beer place. And similarly with the pizza, they do have other options, including a few appetizers, and some nice desserts. But this is a craft pizza spot first and foremost. In addition to the rotating drafts, they have a nice cooler with a few bottles and cans to consume on the premises or take to go.
Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. The venue splits along two levels, with the main bar, kitchen, and some tables at street level, and an extensive Madrilian basement level where they operate a second bar when needed. It's a favorite and unmissable spot in...
Read moreA hidden gem in the city center with 15 taps offering fresh craft beer in three sizes for reasonable price and a interesting pizza-style bread with various toppings. The only drawback is that for some reason this pub was advertised as a beer brewery, but if so, why they don't offer anything from their own production on tap? Either say you are a pub serving a craftbeer or serve something of yours, otherwise it is just misleading for the customer. In any case, the food is very good, but that is to be expected for a 15eur-meal in a pub. The beer is well- tempered and handled and for sure every beer lover should consider going there on their way to Prado or the botanical garden nereby! Also, there is plenty room in the cellar, which is not apparent from the entrance and people might think the pub is full - don't be...
