I loaded up on things like tinned sardines and the like (which are a bit more of a posh production than you'd think) from this place quite recently at the end of our visit to Spain. The quality of products he has on display at the Mercado San Anton is remarkable, and he is a very helpful fishmonger. I will go back to visit this place and to eat his...

This is not the restaurant called the home of the codfish. This is a stand in a beautiful Market that has a few codfish items but not much and definitely nothing cooked. This stall in Mercado San Anton is a great stop when one is cruising the mercado. We have been there twice and have had the brandada, the croquetas (shrimp and bacalao), the pulpa tortas, and a nice cold beer each time. The servers have been attentive and quick, always with a smile. A great place for a quick bite...

This is not the restaurant called the home of the codfish. This is a stand in a beautiful Market that has a few codfish items but not much and definitely nothing cooked. I don't care what the other reviews say I was there and there's nothing resembling a restaurant or major eatery. The other stands around it are far more substantial.

The portions are small but the price is on the cheaper side of the Anton market. Probably the most interesting place from the market. It gets 4.5 stars because the value you get

Pedimos varías para probar, ya que tenían muy buena pinta y cogimos, bacalao con miel, brandada y una tortillita de bacalao muy buena. Aparte nos comimos una sardina y un arenque que estaba riquísimo (a mi fue lo que más me gustó). Lo acompañamos con dos cervezas alhambra verde a 2,5€ cada una. Muy muy rico todo, dejamos algunas sin probar para la próxima, que volveremos. Lo bueno del mercado es que puedes combinar con comida de otros puestos, y así hicimos un pincho de ensaladilla rusa y un pimiento del padrón. Todo tiene pinta de tener una buena calidad, y los precios depende del sitio, pero están bastante mal.
