The real stuff. The good stuff. The best in Palma stuff.

I had the fortune of this new pizzeria opening next door to my apartment earlier this week. Today, after a long ride, I decided to try it out.

I ordered a margarita, but requested cheese be added only after the pizza was cooked. I took the pizza back home, accessorised a bit and got into it.

In few words, that was a supremely good pizza. The dough - light, digestible, tons of flavour in big pockets of air. It was cooked perfectly at both the crust and the centre (I am strongly against wet pizza). The pizza sauce used was thick, naturally sweet and tangy. The cheese (both fior di latte and Parmesan) was quality.

Beyond that, I did my own thing. Threw on some cherry tomatoes, capers, chilli, more basil and olive oil.

We absolutely love DUE – Our Italian Kitchen! The food is an absolute delight, fresh, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with passion. From the homemade pasta to the perfectly baked pizzas, every bite feels like a little trip to Italy.

Wir haben uns gestern eine Pizza im DUE geholt. Der Laden selbst ist so herzlich und wunderschön gestaltet – richtig einladend! Schon öfter ist mir das Lokal beim Vorbeigehen aufgefallen, wir wohnen quasi um die Ecke, und außerdem hatte ich es bei einer Influencerin gesehen. Die Fotos sahen fantastisch aus – und genauso lecker war die Pizza auch!

Den Mut zu haben, auszuwandern und auf einer Insel mit so viel Konkurrenz einen eigenen Laden zu eröffnen, ist wirklich bewundernswert. Jenny und Patrick haben hier etwas ganz Besonderes erschaffen – nicht einfach 08/15-Pizza, sondern echte Gaumenschmäuse!

Wir hatten die Pizza Picante und die Pizza Parma. Wer es gern scharf mag: die Picante ist der absolute Wahnsinn 😍 alles selbstgemacht. Das schmeckt man heraus – ich kann immer noch nicht glauben, wie unfassbar lecker sie war. Auch der Teig wird selbst gemacht und war perfekt: nicht zu hart, nicht zu weich, sondern richtig schön fluffig. Auch die Parma-Pizza war ein Highlight: mit einem selbst kreierten, exotischen Pesto, das sie von anderen Pizzerien abhebt.

So gut wie diese beiden Pizzen geschmeckt haben, werden wir definitiv noch die ganze Karte rauf und runter probieren. Mein Freund ist normalerweise bei Pizza sehr schwer zu beeindrucken, aber diesmal war er sprachlos – und überglücklich, dass wir unsere neue Lieblingspizzeria gefunden haben.
