I stayed at Puro Hotel in Palma, Mallorca, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th July respectively with my best friend. There I suffered a terrible injury due to a towel rail that fell on top of me, smashing my face, my two front teeth, breaking one half off. Please see attached photograph where you can see my nose is swollen - it subsequently bruised, I also had bruises all across my forehead and this swelling and bruising lasted for two weeks. I've subsequently had to have dental work conducted and because I was travelling to New York from Mallorca and then on to London for business I had to get my teeth fixed in New York City. I sent the hotel my flight schedule attached as proof.
As this unfortunate incident happened at Puro hotel and my two front teeth were broken and it cost me a lot of money to get them fixed I attached my invoice that I was charged by the American dentist because I had to go straight from Mallorca to New York then to London for work. I can't have meetings looking like I'd been in the ring with Mohamed Ali.
Further, just so you travellers are all aware my friend and I had four things go missing from our room: My Burberry Jacket that I was wearing on the flight over My Valentino Multicoloured Shoes that I was wearing on the flight over 40 pounds Zara cardigan
Again we know that having treble checked our cases and eliminated all other possibilities these items were in our room but when we came to pack none of them were there leaving us both to feel somewhat that the loss of so many personal items is something that the hotel was responsible for. Again this caused untold financial damage. Totalling over 2000 pounds for the items above. Again I sent photos and receipt evidence to the hotel management for them to deal with this situation over 12 weeks ago.
Clearly, this short trip severely impacted me in particular both physically, emotionally but financially and despite my pleading with Puro management to address it in a professional and civlised manner they refuse to respond or talk to me. What's concerning is that I have been going to Puro Hotel for over 12 years. Clearly loyal customers and those who have supported the hotel over the years mean absolutely NOTHING to the senior management. I have attached the photo of my facial injuries. This is ONLY because I don't want anyone else to have the same unfortunate accident happen to them.
Room Tip: Stay at Portals Hills - it's GORGEOUS & they...
Read moreThis was our first time staying in Mallorca and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. ||The location is fantastic among the narrow streets of Palma and near to many good bars and restaurants. It was easy to walk to any location in Palma.||The room (a suite) was superb with a mezzanine floor for the bed, bath and separate shower. On the main floor it had a well stocked minibar and plenty of chairs. The only problem was trying to work out the purpose of the many light switches.||The breakfast was a highlight with an excellent range of food including a table dedicated to local Mallorcan specialities. The gluten-free choice was extensive with the best gluten-free croissants we have tasted. The courtyard for the breakfast was a calm place to start the day. ||The rooftop terrace has several sections and many chairs and had a useful shaded area for the surprisingly hot weather at the end of October. ||When we arrived we had a warm welcome from the fantastic Anna who provided tips and suggestions for places to visit, restaurants for every taste, and made sure we knew how to find our way around Palma. All while sipping our glasses of complimentary cava.||We were shown to our room by the friendly and helpful Jesse who also delivered our bags to the room. He showed us where to find breakfast and the way to the rooftop terrace. ||We used a taxi to get to the hotel from the airport and the taxi driver did his best to find his way to the front of the hotel but had to stop a little way away because of all the one way streets. However we didn't mind because it was only a minute away and easy to find...
Read moreI am currently staying at Puro Hotel Palma (with two nights left) and overall, it has been a very pleasant experience. We had a few small miscommunications at the start of our stay, but I was happy with how the team listened to my concerns and made sure everything was resolved. The staff has been amazing overall, and the hotel is truly lucky to have so many wonderful employees.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, very modern, and comfortable. Breakfast is absolutely fabulous - served until 11:30am, which is wonderful if you like to sleep in. The spread offers many great options, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough that you can enjoy a long coffee while catching up on emails, which I really appreciated despite breakfast hours being over.
The rooftop is another highlight, with a small pool, plenty of sun for tanning, and where you can order drinks. It’s a lovely spot to spend an afternoon.
I think this hotel is especially well-suited for couples - the location couldn’t be better, with shopping, restaurants, and Palma’s Old Town right at your doorstep. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle service to the Puro beach clubs, which we used and thoroughly enjoyed.
As a guest traveling with my assistance dog, I also really appreciated the thoughtful touch of having a dog bed and bowl in the room on arrival.
All in all, this has been a very nice stay, and I’d happily recommend Puro Hotel Palma for anyone looking for a stylish, central, and relaxing base in Palma. I would also happily...
