Oishi Express — Local services in Göteborgs Stad

Very nice man. I asked for a menu in english and he gave me one. As I was choosing, I see him back in the kitchen cleaning his mouth / teeth with his bare hands… I was about to leave at that point and frankly should have… but I went on with my order as I was very late and needed to eat something. He took my order, then opened a pack of frozen tempura shrimp and put them into the fryer… with the same hands he used to clean his teeth and take my money. Then thankfully - I assume he saw my face… he put some gloves on and made the makis and sushis. I did tell him 8 times « NO MAYO », both ended up with tons of mayo on top. I ate, and sure enough now I just threw up. For your own sake, avoid...

I went here with my grandmother, I got the tempura maki and she got the tempura bowl, both were amazing and super fresh. The service was amazing, not too pushy and very nice. It took almost no time to get the food.

Although the atmosphere had a "hole in the wall theme" , like you were eating at sushi yama, it was still amazing and the furniture choice was very aesthetically pleasing.

The food was very fresh, the tempura shrimp was perfectly cooked. The bowl didn't have much variety, only rice, edamame beans and pickled seaweed. For the roll, it lacked spicy mayo, nut thats just a preference....

The restaurant is accessed from within nordstan.

Got the yakiniku for lunch as a takeaway.

Price is okay but the dish was very bland and didn't meet the basic expectations. Felt like a dish that would cost a lot less.

The waiting time is not very fast, but not slow either.

Have not tested any other dishes. I recommend Sun Sushi instead if you aim...
