You have the opportunity to see Henry Moore, Cezanne, Modligliani, Picasso, of course not as many as London, Paris, NY museums, but 1 painting they exhibit is one of the quality works of that artist. Be sure to see the Louise Catherine Breslau Model 1921. You will have the opportunity to see the very good works of Ferdinand Hodler.
The museum's restaurant has a very good service and the food is good. You can spend a marvellous day full of art by seeing the first floor in the morning, having lunch in the museum under favourable conditions and then visiting the second floor. Or you can take a sandwich with you and sketch in the garden of the museum next to the statue of Henry Moore with a wonderful view of Geneva.
The archaeological section has good quality Roman artefacts and illustrated Greek vases. The Swedish military artefacts are really impressive.
The only big disadvantage of the museum is that the souvenir section is weak, there are not enough artefact-exhibition books and the ones that are available are only in French. For English speakers, it is a great loss that there is no book on the works of...
